What you can do with this feature

You can add audio to any section of a video SOP after filming. There are two ways to do it.

Record: Use your microphone to record your own voice and add narration (useful when it's difficult to talk while filming).
Upload an audio file: Load and insert a prepared audio file (narration, background music, etc.). Supports mp3 / wav / m4a / ogg / webm formats.

When you add audio to a section, the original video sound is automatically muted, and the new audio plays instead. If you delete the added audio later, the original video sound will play again.

Before you start

You can only edit SOPs in Draft status. Open the target video SOP and click "Edit video" (or "Edit" on smartphone) to open the video editor.

1. Show the audio track

Click the "Change" button in the toolbar at the top of the video editor, and check "Audio" from the feature list. The "Audio" track will appear in the timeline.

2. Add audio

Position the playback bar where you want to add audio, then click the "+" ("Add audio here") button in the Audio track. The Audio dialog opens, and you can choose between two tabs: "Record" and "File".

To record

In the "Record" tab, click "Start recording" to begin microphone recording. When you finish speaking, click "Stop".
Check "Mute video playback while recording (for timing)" to watch the video and sync your narration to the right moment (the video sound will not play during this time).

To upload an audio file (background music, etc.)

Open the "File" tab and drag and drop your audio file, or click to select it.
Supported formats are mp3 / wav / m4a / ogg / webm.

Use this option when you want to insert an audio file directly without recording—such as narration or background music.

Preview and add

After recording or selecting a file, you can preview playback to check it. You can also perform these optional actions:

Label (optional): Add a note to help you identify it later.
Transcribe with AI: Convert the audio content to text and use it as subtitles.

If everything looks good, click "Add" to confirm.

Adjust or delete added audio

You can adjust the position, replace, or delete added audio later. On the audio track in the timeline, drag the section bar to adjust its position, or select a section and delete it.

Caution

When you add audio to a section, the original video sound is muted (it is replaced, not mixed with the new audio). To restore the original sound, delete the added audio.
If the video already has subtitles generated from the original audio, the subtitles in the section where you add new audio will be overwritten. If you delete the added audio, the original subtitles will appear again.
Added audio is currently supported when viewing on a PC web player. Support for smartphone apps is coming soon.
