Differences in app features
The browser (Web) app covers all the basic features, while the mobile app and smart glasses app focus on on-site viewing and have some feature restrictions due to performance and mobile characteristics.
Mobile app
Compared with the browser (Web) app, the following features are specialized for the mobile app. In principle, you can use all browser app features except for the "Things You Cannot Do" listed below.
- Offline download to smartphone Storage
- Starting a Support Request (video call)
- Create and edit AR SOPs
- Viewing AR SOPs
The following things cannot be done. This also applies to the browser (Web) app on smartphones and tablets.
- Video editing (video upload and AI auto-processing are available)
- Some other management features
Smart glasses app
Based on the characteristics unique to the mobile app, you can use the following features. For reference, see Here.
● Monocular type
You can use Dive with a dedicated UI, for SOP viewing and remote support features only. AR SOPs are not supported.
- Vuzix M400 series
- Realwear Navigator series
● AR glasses type
You can use the Dive app by displaying it in AR space. For AR SOPs and remote support, it can be used on an MR (Mixed Reality) basis, and is projected and displayed so that it overlaps the real world.
- XREAL Air 2 Ultra
- XREAL One / XREAL One Pro (with XREAL Eye attached, supports 6DoF, AR SOPs, and remote support with video streaming)
- MiRZA
- dynaEdge XR1
● Text display type
The step names, step text, and questions in SOPs are shown as text on the glasses. Use the glasses to move through pages and steps, and answer Yes/No, select-type, and multiple selection questions. The steps you viewed and your answers are saved in Dive's Record. Showing photos and videos, uploading videos and images, remote support, and AR SOPs are not supported.
- Even Realities G1 / G2
- Vuzix Z100
For how to use it, see View SOP on Even Realities G1 / G2 / Vuzix Z100 (Send to glasses).
VR headset
You can view SOPs in the standard browser on Meta Quest (formerly Oculus Quest). No app installation is required. For SOPs created from 360-degree camera videos and photos, select [VR] to look around in VR. For how to use it, see Create SOPs from 360-degree camera videos and photos (Look around / View in VR).
