You can combine multiple videos into a single SOP.
* However, you cannot combine step 5 from video A and step 6 from video B into one step.
If you have multiple videos shot in short segments, one for each step, you can select them together and create an SOP in one go (see "Pattern 4" below).
Pattern 1: Add as a Following Step
-
Click [Add step].
-
Click [Video], select the video you want to combine, and execute with your desired settings.
-
A step list area appears on the left, and the new video step is defined as a following step to the original video. Within this group of video steps, you can also reorder steps by dragging the step cards on the left.
Note: In the step list area, you can hover your mouse over the location where you want to insert, display the [+] button, and add from there. (This example shows inserting new content between two video steps).
Pattern 2: Insert Steps in the Middle of a Video Step Block
You can insert another video, image, file, or other content in the middle of steps created from one video. The video step block splits at the insertion point. You can also split without inserting anything.
The operation is performed from the split icon in the header of the video step block in the step list. "Insert" and "Split" are both on the same screen, and you switch between them at the top.
- In the step list, open the target video step block.
- Click the split icon in the block header.
- On the left you see steps in this block, and on the right where to insert steps (gaps).
- Press the dotted frame to select what to insert at that position. You can select videos, images, files, copied steps, and everything else that is available in the standard [Add step].
- Press [Check] to apply all changes to the SOP at once.
● Changes do not take effect until you confirm
Items placed in gaps do not appear in the SOP until you press [Check]. You can place items in multiple gaps, check the order, and then confirm. To cancel a specific insertion, use [Cancel inserting here]. To choose again, use [Choose the steps to insert again].
● For video materials, you can select only the sections you use
When you choose a video material to insert, you can use [Choose the steps to insert] to select which sections of that material to use. You do not need to cut unused parts in advance. Unselected sections do not disappear; they become a "Cut section" and can be restored later in the video editor.
Unselected sections remain as cut sections (hidden) in the video editor. If needed, you can show that section again and use it.
You can also take one step at a time from a single video and place it into each of the following gaps ([Spread one into each gap below]). Use this when you want to interleave short videos shot in sequence between existing steps.
● Split only
To split the block without inserting anything, switch to [Split only] at the top, then press [Split here] to choose the location. If you switch while insertion items are already set, you'll be asked to confirm whether to cancel.
● Split blocks have independent edit data
Split blocks have independent cut, subtitles, shapes, and audio settings. After that, editing one block will not affect the other. Main content, questions, and subtitles remain in both blocks.
In the video editor of each block, the timeline also shows sections that became part of other blocks, but you cannot apply, add or delete sections, or move boundaries for those parts in this block (when you hover over the eye button, it displays "This is part of another step block. It cannot be applied in this block"). [Use all] applies only to the steps in this block. Blocks split before October 9, 2026, do not have this restriction.
For video steps created with the previous version, this operation is not available (the button cannot be pressed).
Pattern 3: Video Embed (Simultaneous Playback)
If you want to play 2 videos overlaid at the same time, use the Video Embed feature. Videos shot from different angles or an overhead and close-up view of hands can be overlaid on your main video and played simultaneously, like a picture-in-picture.
Playback speed and cut range are automatically synchronized to the main video, so you do not need to individually manage the playback position of the embedded video.
For details, see How to use Video Embed (Overlay another video on your main video for simultaneous playback).
Pattern 4: Import Multiple Materials at Once
Select videos shot for each step, and create an SOP all at once. Each video becomes one step, and each image becomes one step.
You can use it from any of the following three entry points:
- Materials page: Select materials in bulk selection mode, then execute [Create SOP in the order selected].
- Create new: Select multiple materials in the create modal and create as-is.
- Insert steps: Insert multiple materials together into the SOP you are editing.
Selected material cards display numbers 1, 2, 3, etc., and the steps appear in that order. Before executing, you can open the list with [Check the order] and reorder.
To select multiple materials, turn on the Bulk selection mode switch on both the materials page and modal. If using a mouse, a checkmark will appear when you hover over a card, and you can enter selection mode from there.
Depending on the type, some materials cannot be added to an SOP at once. In that case, a message will be displayed.
