Before you start creating an SOP, you can use a conversation with AI to organize “what the SOP is for,” “who will read it,” “where to store it,” and “Which form to export in.” The organized content is saved with the SOP, and it becomes the standard for checking the “difference from what was decided” in the Pre-publish check after the SOP is created. In addition, if you continue on to the AI analysis of your materials, the purpose, audience, and scope you decided will be carried over automatically to the “Description” field of the AI analysis.
The Core, Pro, and Enterprise plans can use this feature. It can be used from PC browsers and smartphones. This feature is currently in beta. The materials the conversation reads and the items decided in the conversation vary depending on your plan.
How to open
- Start creating an SOP from [Create new] in the sidebar
- Under the creation method cards, click [If you want to start from the purpose and the reader AI consultation before you build].
The “AI consultation before you build” screen opens. The entry point is under the creation method cards. If you first select one of the creation method cards (Create from video / Register existing SOPs / Create from scratch), you will not reach this screen.
What you can decide
When you talk with the AI on the left, the items you decide are filled in one by one under “What is decided” on the right.
- Purpose: what the SOP is for
- Type: work SOPs, inspection SOPs, and so on. If the internal rules have been read, the type is chosen from them
- Audience: whether the reader is a newly assigned person, an experienced person, or someone from outside the company
- Scope: which part, from start to finish, goes into one SOP
- Storage folder: which folder to store it in
- Export format: if an export format is registered, which form to export in
- Reason for publishing: chosen from the reasons for publishing registered for the team. The approval workflow is derived from this reason, so the AI never specifies a workflow directly. You can change it when you request publication
The conversation does not start from a blank page. It starts after reading the internal rules, export formats, “How to write it,” and reasons for publishing that are already registered. Even a team that has not registered some of these can still have the conversation, just without those parts. Which of these you can register depends on your plan (see “What changes by plan” below).
You can also answer by voice with the microphone icon in the input field.
After you decide
Once the purpose and type are decided, you can move on. When everything is decided, “Everything is decided” is displayed.
In the lower right, under “What to do next,” the creation method that fits what you decided is shown along with the reason. Sometimes advice on which scenes to film on video is also included. Click [Proceed to create with this] to go to that creation method.
What you decide is saved with each version of the SOP. The Pre-publish check makes its judgment by comparing this content with the contents of the SOP.
Try again or review your conversations
- [History]: lets you reopen past conversations. The number in parentheses is the number of conversations that remain
- [Start a new one]: starts a new conversation for a different SOP while keeping the current one
What changes by plan
The conversation itself can be used on the Core, Pro, and Enterprise plans. On the Free and Lite plans, the entry point is displayed, but when you click it, we will let you know that it is not available on your current plan.
The materials the conversation reads are limited to those you can register on your plan. Anything not registered is left out of the conversation, so the conversation asks more questions, but the consultation itself still works.
- Internal rules: Enterprise plan. If registered, the type is chosen from the SOP types extracted from the internal rules, and required fields and level of detail are also checked against those rules. When the internal rules conflict on a point, the AI does not decide on its own; it asks which one to create the SOP with
- How to write it: Enterprise plan. If registered, it is reflected in the conversation as organizational rules. If not registered, a message appears saying “If you configure How to write SOPs, you can check against your internal rules.”
- Export format: Enterprise plan. If not registered, the message “No export format is registered (exported in Dive's standard format)” appears, and the form is not decided
- Reason for publishing: Pro and Enterprise plans. The approval workflow is derived from the reason for publishing, so these two change together. If not registered, the message “No reason for publishing is registered (you can choose one when you request publication)” appears
- Purpose, Audience, Scope, and Storage folder: the same on every plan that can use the consultation
For types defined in the internal rules, the form is derived from those rules. For teams that have not registered internal rules, the AI selects the export format that fits the conversation from the registered ones. For teams that have registered neither, the form is left undecided and the process moves on.
Carrying what you decided over to the “Description” field of the AI analysis of your materials is the same on every plan that can use the consultation. The part that checks what you decided in the Pre-publish check requires a different plan for each perspective. For which perspective is on which plan, see Check the SOP you are editing from 7 perspectives (Pre-publish check). Reviewing what you decided in the conversation (revising decisions) can be done on the same plan as this consultation.
Frequently asked questions
●Can what I decided be changed later?
After the SOP is created, you can change the Destination or the form without any problem. The Pre-publish check shows “Differs from what was decided at creation,” so you can choose to proceed as-is or match what you decided.
●Can it be used on a smartphone?
Yes. On a smartphone, the conversation spreads across the whole screen, and what you decide is gathered in the strip at the bottom. Tapping the strip opens a sheet from the bottom, and you can also confirm from there.
●Can I stop partway through?
What you have decided up to that point remains as a conversation. You can resume from [History].
●The entry point is also displayed on the Free and Lite plans
The entry point is displayed, but when you click it, we will let you know that it is not available on your current plan.
