Cut unnecessary portions
If there are unnecessary video sections, cut them out.
- Click the eye button at the unnecessary split point on the timeline (in the example below, Step 4 content is assumed to be unnecessary).
-
After cutting, the section becomes blacked out. The step numbers for subsequent steps are also updated.
- If you do not want to keep subsequent steps separate, click the "Merge" button.
- The steps are merged and treated as a single step. The height of the cut section becomes lower, and the step numbers for subsequent steps also change.
Adjusting split points
● Changing split timing
You can change this by dragging the split point in question.
● Adding a split
After seeking to the desired location, click the scissors button to add a split point.
When a step is split, the newly created second step inherits the title, work content, tips, quality warning, important safety information, and text-to-speech settings from the original step. You only need to delete unnecessary parts. Questions and attached files are not inherited because each step can have only one of each; they remain with the first step.
● Deleting a split
When you click the split line you want to delete, a red [×] button appears at the split point. Click the [×] button or press the Delete key to delete it. When you delete a split, the steps before and after it merge into one.
To delete all splits at once and return to a single step, click "Batch operations" → "Delete all splits".
If you accidentally delete, you can undo with Ctrl+Z.
Behavior when steps merge
Deleting a split, clicking "Merge", and merging cut sections all have the same behavior.
- If the steps before and after contain exactly the same text, the same text is not repeated twice
- If attached files are duplicated, they are consolidated
- Since each step can have only one question, if you merge multiple steps that contain questions, questions other than the first one will not be output. In that case, a message appears saying "The question from the first step is retained; the other X questions will not be output." You can undo with Ctrl+Z
