"Desired procedures (Idea Board)" is a feature for posting and consolidating procedures needed on the shop floor, and managing their preparation status. When you're unsure which procedures to create first, you can prioritize based on real-world demand.
Available with all plans. Open it from the "Desired procedures" button in the sidebar (not displayed on smart glass devices).
About the Desired Procedures Board (Idea Board)
A board where anyone, including view-only users, can post ideas like "I want a procedure like this" or "This task guide would be helpful." Others who want the same thing can upvote with "I want," and postings are managed with status: "Want," "Creating," or "Completed." You can also discuss each card with comment threads.
Visible postings are separated based on your group affiliation (using the same access restriction logic as regular procedures and group settings).
- Owner and Team Administrator: All postings are displayed
- Group Administrator: Postings from users in your managed group (your affiliation and subordinates) are displayed
- Creator, View-only user, Guest: Postings from users who share your group affiliation are displayed
- Your own postings always appear. If the poster has no group affiliation, the posting appears to everyone
Posters and users who upvoted outside your visible range are shown with a gray anonymous avatar labeled "Members" (no name or profile photo).
Posting a Desired Procedure
- Open the "Desired procedures" button in the sidebar.
- Enter the title of the desired procedure or task guide in the input field at the top (clicking the field expands an additional notes field below).
- If needed, add supplementary information about where and what challenges you're facing (optional).
- Click "Post."
When posted, your "I want" is automatically added, and the posting appears in the list.
Upvoting with "I want"
Click the "I want" button on each card in the list to indicate you also want the procedure. Click again to cancel.
- The button displays the number of "I want" votes and avatars of the voters stacked in one row (up to 3 people; additional voters are consolidated into a "+N" chip)
- Hover over an avatar to see a popup list of all users who voted "I want" (with names)
Discussing with Comment Threads
Each card has a comment thread where you can clarify requirements, share related information, and discuss creation plans.
- Click the comment icon (speech bubble) at the bottom right of a card to open the thread, showing existing comments and an input field. Click again to close
- The number next to the icon shows the total comment count for that card (icon only is shown when there are 0 comments)
- Type text in the input field and click [Send] to add a comment
- You can edit or delete comments you wrote (from the icon in the top right)
- Comments have a single-level flat structure (no reply threads)
- Comment visibility and anonymous display follow the same visibility rules as the card itself
- When you post a comment, the posting author and users who voted "I want" (excluding yourself) receive an email notification with subject "【Dive】A comment was added to your request: ~"
Sorting and Filtering
Use the controls at the top right to organize the list display.
- Status tabs: Filter by "All / Creating / Completed"
- "I want" checkbox: When enabled, shows only postings you've voted "I want" on (can be combined with status tabs)
- Sort order: Choose from "By votes," "By post order (newest first)," or "By title" (default is by votes)
- Ascending/Descending toggle: Switch ascending/descending order for each sort using the icon next to the sort option
The list sort order is recalculated only when you change the sort or filter. Afterward, even if votes increase or new postings appear, existing card positions don't change (new postings are added at the end). This prevents cards from shifting when you open comment threads. The sort resets when you adjust sort or filter settings again.
Changing Status
From a card's menu (…), you can change its status. Status changes can be made by users with the Creator role or higher (including Group Administrators, Team Administrators, and Owner). View-only users and guests cannot change status.
Mark as Creating
- Select "Mark as Creating" from the card menu.
- You appear as the assignee in the "Creating" tag.
Mark as Completed
- Select "Mark as Completed" from the card menu.
- Search and select the completed SOP (you can search from the same catalog as Skill Map).
- Clicking "Mark as Completed" links the SOP to the request and makes it directly accessible from the card.
When marked as completed, notifications are sent to the posting author and users who voted "I want."
- An unread count badge appears on the "Desired procedures" button in the sidebar (showing unread completed requests you posted)
- An email notification is also sent with the completed SOP name
- When the posting author opens the board, their request card displays a green checkmark saying "Responded to your request"
Return to Want
You can select "Return to Want" from the menu to revert "Creating" or "Completed" requests to the original state (assignee and linked SOP are cleared).
Promote to Creation Plan
When a request is approved for actual creation, you can promote it to the Creation Plan (a top-down preparation board) to assign responsibility and set deadlines. The promoted scheduled SOP retains a reference to the original "Desired procedure," and notifications go to the original poster and "I want" voters when completed.
For more details, see Creation Plan (Plan and assign procedures for each folder).
Deleting a Posting
Deletion permissions are as follows. Select "Delete" from the card menu.
- The person who posted it: Your own postings
- Owner and Team Administrator: All postings
- Group Administrator: Postings from users in your managed group (your affiliation and subordinates)
