For subtitle audio playback, reading speed (tempo) is automatically adjusted to match the duration of speech in the video while keeping subtitle display time fixed. This minimizes the effort needed to synchronize video and subtitle timing.
Previously, when subtitle display time was longer than the audio data duration, the audio would be stretched, resulting in slow playback. We received customer feedback that this sounded unnatural and requested improvement.
We have changed the specifications so that tempo adjustment is no longer applied in such cases.
※When audio does not fit within the subtitle display time, playback speed increases as before, resulting in faster speech (to prevent interference with subsequent subtitles and audio playback data).
Handling existing audio playback data
To make playback sound natural for sections that are read slowly, execute the following to discard the existing audio playback data.
- In the "Details" Edit screen for the relevant Step content, click "Edit"
- In the Video Edit screen, make a slight change to the relevant subtitle information (for example: add punctuation)
- Click "Edit Completed" to apply the edit results
