You can export the entire SOP from Dive in PDF, Excel, Word (.docx), or PowerPoint (.pptx) format. If you specify a translation language when exporting, the file will be exported in the translated language.
PDF, Excel, and Word export are available on Core, Pro, and Enterprise plans, while PowerPoint export is available on Pro and Enterprise plans.
An overview (description on the left, cover image on the right) appears at the top of page 1, followed immediately by the step list. Steps are shown in a 3-column table: "Thumbnail", "Work procedure", and "Important safety information and warnings" — one step per row. Each page displays the document name, Rev, and page number in a box at the top, and the revision history is compiled on the last page.
Fonts are embedded in the output, so the same appearance is maintained even if the device opening the file doesn't have fonts for that language installed. If you want to distribute and keep the display consistent, use PDF export.
EXCEL
In addition to Dive's standard layout, Excel can also be exported by converting it to your company's work standard format (Export format / Enterprise plan). For details, see Export SOP in your company's format (Export format).
Word (.docx)
Exports as .docx in the same format as PDF. After exporting, you can edit directly in Word, so you can make adjustments to match your company's format or paste it into other documents.
Word can also be exported by converting it to your company's work standard format (Export format / Enterprise plan).
PowerPoint (.pptx)
Exports in a 1 slide = 1 step layout (structure: cover + revision history + step slides).
PowerPoint can also be exported by converting it to your company's work standard format (Export format / Enterprise plan).
With the standard layout, you can select which items to include using "Select items to export" described below.
Select items to export
In the export modal, you can select which items to include. Choose only what you need from: Thumbnail, The step heading, Step details, Work tips / Quality warnings / Safety-critical items, Questions, Audio (subtitles), and Revision history. In Excel, items you exclude will be hidden column by column, while in PDF, Word, and PowerPoint, they will not appear on pages or slides. If you turn off Revision history in PowerPoint, the revision history slide itself will not be exported.
Add a jump URL to each step
When you enable the "[Add a jump URL to each step]" checkbox (default ON) in the export modal, each step's page, row, or slide embeds "a link that directly opens that step". When the recipient clicks on a step they are interested in, the Dive playback screen will play from that step (if logged into Dive and with viewing permission). When turned off, the document is exported without links.
When you also enable "[Add a QR code to each step]", a QR code with the same link will be added to each step. Use this when you print on paper and post it on site.
Specifications
In the content area of each step, if video, PDF, or image content is specified, the image specified at content > image is used. For video, a representative image is entered by default.
The initiator and approver in the revision history are exported with the same display name as shown on screen. Those who have already left the team are displayed as "(Disabled users)".
Notes
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint depend on fonts in the viewing environment. If the PC doesn't have fonts for the relevant language, characters may be garbled or the layout may be corrupted. If you want to fix the display, PDF export is recommended.
