We released a major update to core features beyond AI based on feedback from customers actually using the platform. Most Dive users want to leverage video to convert tacit knowledge into documented procedures (not simply replacing paper manuals with video, but using video as a catalyst to establish standardized processes).
With that in mind, we strengthened surrounding features with the approach of "embed expertise based on the video."
① SOP Player
We improved readability while maintaining the existing UI design.
Performance Improvements
- When you open an SOP, all narration data is fetched upfront, and translation data is retrieved when executing translations. This significantly reduces loading time when transitioning between steps.
- Video loading speed when moving between steps has improved, making auto transitions smoother.
- Performance for smartphone viewing in web apps (no native app required) has improved dramatically.
New Features
Step List
The overall picture of steps is now easier to understand. You can also answer questions from this view. You can also check the revision history.
Original Text Display
When executing translations, the original text is now displayed alongside the translation. The same applies to subtitles, step lists, and questions. You can also turn this off.
Mobile UI
You can now use it in portrait orientation.
Other
· You can change subtitle position to top or bottom.
· You can drag the video area and description area to change their ratio.
Impact on Legacy Specifications
- Previously, the mobile app cached data for offline use, but offline caching is currently disabled. We will establish a policy and implement it in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- Share URLs remain unchanged. You can continue using the same URLs.
- The hide text feature has been discontinued. Text is now displayed by default when viewing with AR on smart glass apps and mobile apps.
- 3D SOPs have been discontinued. However, you can still edit in XR spaces.
② Video Editor
We preserved the advantage of step splitting and redesigned the UI to make timeline editing easier. Step-by-step information organization is also more straightforward, making it easier to add descriptions and create questions based on content not fully conveyed in the video.
Performance Improvements
- The editing editor startup is now faster.
When Editing Subtitles
By default, it is off to facilitate editing. When enabled, it displays with a dedicated timeline. You can also change the display duration of subtitles from transcription.
When Editing Shapes
By default, it is off to facilitate editing. When enabled, it displays with a dedicated timeline. Dragging shapes and especially editing text is now easier.
Granularity Change
You can now specify the time interval for split granularity with custom settings.
Impact on Legacy Specifications
- Due to improved video loading speed in SOPs and list display implementation, the cut feature (which removes unnecessary parts within a single step) is currently disabled. Please use split to add instead.
- To simplify functionality, text overwriting and automatic subtitle adoption have been removed.
- Transcription subtitles and manual subtitles were previously managed separately but are now unified. When loading previous data, the subtitle that was previously enabled is displayed.
- Due to small user numbers and simplified manual subtitles, voice-over functionality is currently disabled. We are considering restoration based on demand.
- When viewing with legacy player versions like smart glass apps, text design and subtitle appearance may differ. Please note this.
- The concept of showing and hiding description text no longer exists.
- For initial video insertion, mute and subtitle reading are the default. Subtitles are hidden initially even if transcription is available.
Mobile Editing
- The editing editor cannot be opened as before, but operations like exporting steps from source video are now enabled. If you don't need to edit, you can complete SOP publishing on a smartphone.
Features Under Consideration for Future Implementation
- Specify speed per step (0.25x ~ 2x, etc.) → Released on March 21, 2026
- Color change for shapes and text → Released on March 21, 2026
- Mosaic → Released on March 21, 2026
③ Easier Video Management in SOPs
We solved the problem that managing video data separately after exporting steps made split adjustment and other tasks complex.
Comparison of Old and New
Relationship Between SOPs and Source Materials
Old: Source material and step data are managed separately. You edit the source material as the master and link it to the step. Requires dual consideration.
New: Instead of editing in the source material, import the source material into the SOP and complete editing within the SOP data.
Data Handling After Video Editing
Old: Managed separately per step. To adjust splits, you must delete everything and export again.
New: Managed together per video. Since you edit videos as a cohesive unit, trial-and-error editing is easier.
Description Data Handling
Old: Description text and video are managed separately.
New: Apply the data edited in the video to the SOP.
Handling Multiple Videos
Old: After breaking down by step, you can freely swap different source materials. However, management becomes cumbersome.
New: Video chunks are treated as one unit and move back and forth as a set. Always grouped together.
In this example, steps 1-8 are one video, 9 is an image, and 10-11 are another video. You can edit and rearrange these chunks. Images and PDF steps can be edited the same way as before.
