We have just added many new features. This article introduces the new features added this time. Please also check out the "improvement release" that we are publishing concurrently.
① Auto-Create SOPs from PDFs
Previously, SOPs were created primarily from videos and text. Now you can import a PDF and automatically generate an SOP directly from it. You can reuse existing manuals and work standards by simply converting them to PDF and importing them into Dive as SOPs.
● Main Features
- 1 page = 1 step — automatically divided
- AI extracts the title, body text, tips, cautions, and safety information from each page's content
- The title and overview of the entire PDF are automatically created
- Each step displays the corresponding page from the original PDF as-is
- When you briefly describe the PDF content to AI during import, accuracy for terminology and title formatting improves
● How to Create
- Choose [Create from PDF] when creating a new SOP
- Upload a PDF file or select from the asset library
- AI processes the file and generates steps per page
- Check the contents, edit if needed, and publish
※ If using Word, Excel, or PowerPoint as source material, please export to PDF format first before uploading.
② Search and Jump to Relevant Steps While Keeping the SOP Open
SOP search has been enhanced to help you reach your destination faster.
● Search Within an SOP While Keeping It Open
- Previously: When you opened an SOP, you had to scroll or page through to find the step you wanted.
- Now: While keeping the SOP open, type a keyword in the search box to perform a cross-document search within that SOP.
Search targets include: step title, details, tips, cautions, safety, questions, subtitles, text in video, text in image, and the Entire procedure (title and overview). Tapping a search result takes you directly to that step. If the match is in subtitle text, the video will also seek to that point!
● Open Relevant Steps Directly from Search Results
In SOP list search, you can now open search results directly to the matching step. You can instantly pull up "which SOP was that task in, and where exactly".
③ Add "Stumbles" to Usage Report
A new "Stumble" tab has been added to the Usage Report. Based on responses to questions placed within steps (Checkpoints), you can visualize "who completed which SOP solo". You can now verify the quality of understanding, not just the quantity of views.
● What You'll Learn
- Completion rate: Among those who reached a Checkpoint, the percentage who made it all the way through
- Self-completion rate: Among those who completed, the percentage who passed on the first try without help
- Status per user × SOP (Solo completion, Completed with stumbles, Dropped off midway, etc.)
● Stumble Map
Click a status in each SOP to open the "Stumble map". You can instantly see which Checkpoint, how many people, and which answer option caused stumbles—leading to improvements in problem steps and identification of individuals who need support.
※ This check applies only to SOPs that have questions (Checkpoints) configured in their steps. For details on how to set up questions, please refer to Step-level questions.
④ Granular Folder Edit Permissions
A new setting has been added to folder access restrictions: "Groups that can also edit". You can now manage viewing access and editing access separately.
- Previously: All users with edit permissions in groups that could access the folder could edit it.
Now: You can limit which groups can edit, and only Group Administrators and Creators in the specified groups can edit.
● Key Points
- Specify "Groups that can also edit" separately from "Groups that can access this folder"
- When not specified, all users with edit permissions in the accessible groups can edit as before
- Owner and Team Administrator can always edit regardless of the setting
This is convenient for operations like "let many locations view, but restrict editing to the headquarters group only".
⑤ Control Thumbnail and Audio Per Video Step
You can now adjust thumbnails and audio individually for each video step.
● Manual Thumbnail Specification and Editing
- Previously: Thumbnails were generated automatically from the video only.
-
Now: When you turn on [Set thumbnail manually] per step, you can select your preferred image from the asset library to use as the thumbnail. If using the video editor, you can also apply any timing from the video timeline that you like.
You can also edit the designated Thumbnail Image by adding shapes or Mosaic to it
● Mute Video Audio
- When you turn on [Mute Video Audio] per step, you can mute the original audio of that video step. You can even use videos that picked up background music or ambient noise—just by muting the audio.
The new features introduced here can be used without affecting existing SOPs and data. Please try them out starting with the SOPs you need. Be sure to also check out the "improvement release".
