When you insert shapes (circles, rectangles, spotlights, arrows, etc.) in the Video editor, the video pauses at that position during playback to show the shape. The default Still Duration is 3 seconds, but you can adjust each shape to a range of 0.5 to 30 seconds.

How to Change It

1. Open the Video editor
2. On the timeline, Select the shape insertion overlay you want to adjust (or the newly inserted shape will already be selected)
3. Click the [+] / [−] buttons displayed above and below the clock icon in the shape editing toolbar
   • [+]: Increase Still Duration by 0.5 seconds
   • [−]: Decrease Still Duration by 0.5 seconds
4. Hover your mouse over the clock icon to see the Current Still Duration (for example: Still Duration 3s)

Adjustable Range

• Shortest: 0.5 seconds
• Default: 3 seconds (initial value when you insert a new shape overlay)
• Longest: 30 seconds
• Adjustments are made in 0.5-second increments

Behavior Notes

• Still Duration is set per shape insertion overlay. If there are multiple shapes within the same overlay, the same Still Duration applies to the Overall shape set
• During the Still Duration, the video Pauses on that frame, and the inserted shapes (arrows, spotlights, Text, etc.) appear overlaid on top of the actual video

Tips for Best Results

• Caution shapes (red circles, X marks, ! marks, etc.) should be set longer, such as 5–10 seconds, so workers can review them carefully on the floor
• Light annotations or supplementary shapes should be set to about 1–2 seconds to avoid interrupting the flow too much
• When placing multiple shape overlays in sequence, check that the Total Still Duration does not become too long
• If shapes are not necessary, skip inserting them altogether for a better video flow (even a short pause feels surprisingly long to viewers)
