We released 5 improvements focused on how to write and display SOPs. You can now write step text as bullet points, and when exported to PDF, PowerPoint, or Excel, the bullet formatting remains intact.
① You can now write step text as bullet points
Previously, even if you entered bullets using "." in step descriptions, the screen displayed them as regular text. When long text wrapped to the next line, the second line would start at the beginning of the line, making it unclear where one item ended and the next began.
With this release, lines starting with "." are now displayed as bullet points. Wrapped lines after the first line align to the right of the ".", making it easy to see where each item breaks.
How to write it:
- Simply put a "." at the start of a line. No special buttons or formatting settings are needed
- When you press Enter on a bullet line, the next line automatically gets a "." too
- When you press Enter on a line with only a ".", the "." is removed and you exit bullet mode
- Leading spaces are preserved, so you can indent sub-items by one level
- Numbered items like "1." or "1)" are also displayed as bullet points (the numbers you enter are preserved)
Where this applies:
- Step text, Work tips, Quality Warning, Important safety information
- Overview of SOPs
- Both playback screen (when viewing) and edit screen have the same appearance
- AI observation screens also display the same appearance
Bullet formatting is preserved in exported files:
When you export to PDF, PowerPoint, or Excel, bullets remain as bullet points. Wrapped lines align to the right of the ".".
We also updated how headings are displayed. Previously, we combined headings and body text on one line, like "Bullet Work tips: body text," which could create double bullets if the body itself had bullet points, making the hierarchy unclear. Now headings appear on their own line, and the body starts on the next line. Questions are marked with "Question", choices with "", using distinct symbols to separate them from body bullets.
AI standardizes bullet symbols:
When AI processing returns bullet points using "-", "*", or ".", we automatically standardize them to "." during import. Single-line text starting with a bullet is treated as formatting and the bullet is removed, as before.
② You can now select "Do not display text on screen" when creating an SOP
The "Hide text" setting to hide step descriptions during playback previously required going to Basic information after creating the SOP. With this release, you can now select it in "Step conversion settings" before creating the SOP.
- It appears when creating a new SOP from a video, file, or PDF
- Your selection carries over for future creations
- After creation, you can still switch it in "Playback & display settings" from Basic information
- It does not appear when adding steps to an existing SOP (to prevent changing the display settings for the entire SOP)
Use this when you want a simple look for video procedures, or when you want slides and narration to look like a video without text.
③ You can now attach AI check all at once when creating an SOP (beta)
"AI check" which uses AI to verify submitted photos previously required opening each question to configure individually. This release lets you attach it all at once from "Step conversion settings".
- When you check "Use AI check", "Require photo submission" and "Use AI check" are automatically added to all steps with questions
- AI check is a paired setting with photo submission, so both are applied together
- If you use question keyword filtering, it applies only to steps remaining after filtering
- Per-step adjustments can be made from each step's questions after creation
- Available on Pro and Enterprise plans. Other plans cannot select this option
AI check is a feature (beta) where AI reviews photos and provides OK / Needs check / Cannot determine feedback. It serves as a second check alongside the operator's verification, does not make pass/fail determinations, and does not prevent saving responses.
④ AI check results now appear in the checklist (Viewing records)
Previously, AI check results could only be seen by the person who answered, right then. This release adds them to the checklist (Viewing records) so you can review them later.
- Small badges (AI OK / AI ! / AI ?) appear in relevant cells
- Hover over the badge to see the AI observation, its basis, and how many times it was checked
- Mobile views (list and drawer details) show the same information
- When exported to CSV, it appears as "(AI: Match)", "(AI: Needs check)", or "(AI: Cannot determine)" in the column
The operator's response (Normal/Abnormal) is not changed by the AI check result. The checklist's primary information is always the human judgment, and AI is noted as an annotation. AI observations do not use the same red as "Abnormal," with distinct colors for differentiation.
⑤ Other improvements
- Fixed an issue where AI processing failed to extract audio from videos without sound (such as screen recordings with microphone and computer audio turned off). We now check for audio presence first and switch to processing based on video only
- Fixed an issue where unnamed folders appeared in the Home folder list. Renaming this folder or creating SOPs inside it could sometimes make the entire list unviewable
- The save destination folder is now automatically selected when creating your first SOP. Previously, the destination folder would not be determined, leaving you unable to publish. The selected folder name now appears on the screen (you can move it later)
- Fixed an issue where the trial notice showed "After the trial period ends, it will automatically revert to the Free plan" even when you had an active subscription. The actual reversion destination was your previous plan, and only the display was incorrect
- You can now start a trial for a higher plan even when you have a plan change scheduled for the next update or a subscription with a start date reserved for later. Previously, you had to wait until the reservation was applied
- Guidance for editors (warnings about video editing) no longer appears for viewers who can only view SOPs. It now appears only for those who can edit
- When the overview on the playback start screen was long and wrapped, the line starts did not align, making it hard to read. Now when it wraps to 2 or more lines, it switches to left-align
- Removed unnecessary spacing that remained when editing a step with no questions configured
- Fixed an issue where the plan name in the monthly usage notification email remained in default language instead of your contract plan name
Impact on existing use
Text in already-created SOPs has not changed. Descriptions already written using bullets will now be automatically displayed as bullet points (the text itself is not rewritten). "Do not display text on screen" and batch AI check settings are both off by default.
