Re-running AI analysis on the same video material will overwrite the previous analysis results. If you want to test different settings—such as changing the split granularity or using polite language style—while keeping the current results, copy the material first, then change the settings and re-analyze on the copied version.
The original and copy each retain separate analysis results, so you can open both and compare them. This is done from a PC browser.

When to Use This
If you're not satisfied with AI analysis results, you can either manually edit them in the SOP editor or re-run the AI analysis itself. Consider this approach in these situations:
- The step breaks are at different positions than expected
- The steps are too detailed or too broad
- Questions aren't appearing where they should
- The text or subtitle wording isn't quite right
- You want to see how changing the video description affects results
If only a few places are off, it's faster to manually adjust them using step break adjustment or step-level question settings. If the overall structure feels off, re-analyzing with different settings is faster.
By copying the material before re-analyzing, the original material's analysis results and any already-created SOPs remain intact, allowing you to compare different settings.
Steps
1. Copy the Material
- Open [Materials] in the sidebar
- Click the video you want to test and open the material's detail modal
- Click [Copy] at the bottom of the detail modal
You'll see "Copied!" and a new material named "Original title (Copy)" appears at the top of the materials list. The analysis results and analysis settings from the original material are carried over as-is.
Copying doesn't re-upload the video file, so it doesn't consume upload limits or AI processing execution counts.
2. Re-analyze the Copied Material
- In the detail modal of the copied material, click [Review AI processing results]
- The "AI analysis content" opens. Click [Re-run AI] at the bottom right
- The "AI analysis settings" opens. Previous analysis conditions appear as default values, so change only the items you want to test. Note: results can vary even with the same settings, so if you want to maintain settings, trying a re-run with the same conditions is also recommended.
- Click [Start analysis] and the status changes to "AI processing..."
Analysis typically takes about as long as the video length. Analysis continues even if you close the app and completes with an email notification.
The copied material carries over the original analysis results, but they are replaced with the new results when re-analysis completes. The original results remain in the original material.
3. Compare Results
Open [Review AI processing results] for both the original and copied materials to see the analysis settings used (split granularity, text style, recognition language, video description, target step count, reference work procedure) and the generated step list and subtitle list. Once you decide which version to use, create an SOP from that material.
Changeable Analysis Settings
These are the main items you can change in "AI analysis settings".
- Video description: Describing what task the video shows improves analysis accuracy
- Split granularity: Process / Step / Motion / Single
- Text style: Command / Polite / Suggestive (or "Follow policy" if a Procedure Authoring Policy is registered)
- Subtitle style: Action subtitle ending. Can be specified separately from the step text
- Videos without narration (analyzed only by video): Ignores audio and analyzes only the video
- Recognition Language (inside [Advanced settings]): Language of the speaker in the video
- Aggressively cut sections without speech (inside [Advanced settings])
- Target step count (inside [Advanced settings]): Specify by step count or seconds per step
- Reference work procedure (inside [Advanced settings], beta): Specifying a reference SOP in video analysis (beta)
Important Notes
- Re-analysis counts toward your AI processing execution count. Free, Lite, and Core plans have daily limits (Free 1 / Lite 5 / Core 10), so be careful if testing multiple variations. Pro and Enterprise plans are unlimited.
- Materials currently processing ("AI processing..." displayed) cannot be re-run. Wait for completion.
- If you copy a material shared by other members, the copied material's sharing setting becomes [Only me]. Change it if needed from the bottom left of the detail modal.
- Already-created SOPs won't change when you re-analyze the material, since SOPs are created from the analysis results at the time of creation.
- Copy can be done for materials other than AR Scan Data, but the [Review AI processing results] → [Re-run AI] workflow described here is for video materials.
