We reviewed the usability around SOP viewing and the video editor. For new features released on the same day, please refer to the articles on new features in Release information.
1. Added "Left" and "Right" to subtitle position
Previously, the subtitle position on the SOP player had three options: "Bottom," "Top," and "Off." In videos where the work target appears in the center-lower part of the screen, the subtitles would often overlap with the work being performed, whether placed at the bottom or top.
Now, each time you press the subtitle position button, it cycles through: Bottom → Top → Left → Right → Off. When you select left or right, the subtitles appear vertically along the left or right edge of the screen, keeping the center clear.
- When using left or right, subtitle width is narrowed, and if more lines appear, they expand from the vertical center
- When holding a smartphone in landscape mode, the display avoids the notch
- Your chosen position is saved on the device and will display in the same position next time
2. Improved adding and deleting splits in the video editor
● When a split is added, it inherits the content from the previous step
Previously, when you used the scissors button to split a step, the resulting step on the back side was created blank. If you just wanted to split one step into two, you had to rewrite both the title and body.
With this release, the new step created after the split inherits the title, work content, tips, quality warning, important safety information, and text-to-speech settings from the original step. Now you only need to delete unnecessary parts. Questions and attached files are not inherited because each step can have only one of each; these remain in the first step.
● Unified behavior when deleting splits and merging steps
The behavior of deleting a split, using the merge button, and merging cut sections differed slightly. Now all three operations use the same process.
- If the steps before and after contain identical text, we don't repeat the same text twice
- Duplicate attached files are consolidated
- Steps without questions assigned are no longer treated as having questions
● We'll notify you when questions are reduced during a merge
Because each step can have only one question, when merging multiple steps with questions, only the first step's question remains. Previously, questions disappeared without notice. Now we display: "The first step's question will be kept, and ○ other questions will not be exported." You can undo with Ctrl+Z.
3. Shared materials are now visible even after downgrading your plan
Previously, materials shared with the team disappeared from the Materials List when you downgraded to the Free plan. This created a conflict where the materials could still play in the SOP but would not appear in the Materials List.
We've changed the plan restriction to apply only to the action of sharing materials (changing the sharing scope), so viewing already-shared materials is no longer blocked. Even after downgrading your plan, materials previously shared with the team or group remain visible in the list and can be used when creating SOPs.
4. Exported file language now matches the translation language
When translating and exporting an SOP, the body would be translated, but labels and headings prepared by Dive would stay in the display language of your screen. If you translated into Vietnamese from a Japanese interface and exported, the body would be in Vietnamese but the headings would remain in Japanese.
When exporting to MP4, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, or Excel, and when viewing the shared screen, if you select a translation language, the labels and headings prepared by Dive will also be exported in that language.
5. Improved playback during unstable connections
For situations where videos stop mid-playback in low-bandwidth environments or areas with unstable signal, we've reviewed how the app waits for loading and how it resumes playback. We've also increased the quality of MP4 exports.
6. Other improvements and bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where you couldn't create a new SOP by selecting a file like PowerPoint from the materials screen
- Fixed an issue where plan limits for the number and hierarchy of groups were not being enforced when Bulk import users with Excel. Since groups can be created during import, we now apply the same limits as standard group creation
- Fixed an issue that occurred when using "Aggressively cut sections without speech"
- Fixed an issue where values entered in the Correct range (Normal range) for numeric input questions would sometimes change to different values when saved
- Multiple-choice questions with only one choice cannot be answered, so they are no longer shown in SOPs
- Resolved an issue where AI analysis would consume time without completing
- Fixed an issue where search data creation would sometimes fail
- Fixed an issue where the pronunciation dictionary for text-to-speech would not be reflected in the audio
- Fixed an issue where some information from merged steps was missing when exporting from materials
- Fixed issues related to the display of shapes and images overlaid on videos
- Improved the readability of the AI analysis results screen and added items to help you confirm which settings were used for the analysis
- Removed the term "frame" from screen labels and unified it to "Number of accounts"
All changes are applied automatically. No action is required on your end.
