If you have enabled narration for subtitles, when you edit the subtitles here, the narration audio content automatically adjusts to match the subtitles (there is no field to directly enter text into the audio).
When the narration target is "Description", correct the Step title and Description editing instead of the subtitles. To confirm or switch the narration target, refer to Subtitles and Description narration feature.
- Click [Change] in Feature Use, and check [Subtitles].
- Subtitles are added to the Video, and a new subtitle timeline is added to the timeline. The initial value contains the transcribed content from AI Analysis.
- If there are errors in the transcribed content, edit it. Click the [Pen] button in the Video and you can edit.
-
You can also add New subtitles. Seek to the relevant location and you can define a New subtitle from the [+] button.
- The display timing of subtitles can be adjusted by dragging the subtitle block from the timeline, and the display length can be adjusted by dragging the edge.
Create subtitles From the step text
If you have already written the Step text, you can create subtitles From that text. In the subtitle list in the Video editor, select [Create subtitles] then [From the step text].
Rather than making the entire text one subtitle, it is divided sentence by sentence and distributed across the step intervals. Because text is not crammed into a single frame, the narration is less likely to become rushed. Since the text is not crammed into a single frame, the narration is less likely to become rushed.
Conversely, you can also Transcribe text from subtitles or Shapes into the step text all at once. No matter which side you start creating From, you can keep both aligned.
If a subtitle already exists in the same interval, a confirmation will appear asking whether to keep the existing subtitle or Replace it.
Verify fast subtitles
For subtitle narration, the speed is adjusted to fit within the length of time that the subtitle is displayed (the frame). Subtitles with text longer than the frame are labeled "fast ○ times" in the Subtitle list. If there are no fast subtitles, that is indicated.
The displayed multiplier is the value after the speed is restored when there is a still pause of a Shape in the Step. Subtitles that have a pause and are actually read slowly are not counted as fast.
Subtitles marked with a flag will sound at a natural pace if you shorten the text by breaking it into sentences or by adding space between the next subtitle (for the last subtitle in a Step, extend the end of the subtitle backward). For more information, see If a Step is short, the subtitle narration is fast and hard to understand.
