We've reviewed the folder access design around guest users and made it more flexible and easier to understand for operations. This article introduces the contents of this update.
① Add "Allow guest user access" setting to folder "Access Restriction Settings"
We've added an "Allow guest user access" toggle switch to folder access restrictions. For each folder, you can choose whether to open it to users with guest permissions.
- Before: Guests generally could not access folders, making operations unclear in some cases
Now: You can open a folder to guests by turning on "Allow guest user access" for that folder
●Behavior
- Filter OFF folder with this toggle ON: All members of the team, including guests, can access
- Filter ON folder with this toggle ON: Guests must also belong to a "group with access permission" (guests not in the group cannot access)
For details, see Folder Access Restriction Settings.
② Guest users now display in flat view
We've changed the folder display for guest users to flat view.
- Before: Guests also had to follow the folder hierarchy, making operations complex because they couldn't reach folders if they didn't have access permissions to parent folders
- Now: Guests don't display the folder hierarchy and display accessible folders and SOPs in a list (flat view)
It's now easier to operate when you want to show guests only filtered SOPs from among many folders.
③ Video editor timeline scroll UX improvement
We've improved scroll operations (including drag) in the timeline area during zoom, making it smoother to use.
Other improvements and bug fixes
- Fixed a bug related to registration application notifications
- Improved stability around search indexing
- Performed other internal processing improvements and minor adjustments
This update can be used without affecting existing SOPs or data. For teams with guest permission users, please check and adjust the folder's "Allow guest user access" setting as needed.
