We've released 5 improvements focused on how you write and display procedures. Steps can now be written as bullet points, and exported PDFs, PowerPoint, and Excel files preserve the bullet-point format.

1. Steps can now be written as bullet points

Previously, even if you added bullets to step descriptions, they appeared as regular text on screen. Long text would wrap to the next line, making it unclear where each point ended.

Now, lines starting with a bullet are displayed as bullet points. Wrapped lines align to the right of the bullet, so you can see where each item ends at a glance.

How to use

Simply type a bullet at the start of a line. No special button or formatting is needed.
When you press Enter on a bullet line, the next line automatically gets a bullet too.
To exit bullet mode, press Enter on a line with just a bullet.
Leading spaces (indentation) are preserved, so you can nest sub-items.
Numbered lists like "1." or "1)" are also displayed as bullet points (numbers are kept as you type them).

Bullet points in exported files

When exported to PDF, PowerPoint, or Excel, bullet points remain as bullet points. Wrapped lines align properly to the right of the bullet.

We've also revised heading formatting. Previously, headings and body text were on the same line (like "• Work tips: body text"), which caused double bullets when the text itself was bulleted, making hierarchy unclear. Now headings are on their own line, with body text starting on the next line. Questions appear as "● Question" and choices as "<Choices>", using distinct symbols to separate them from body-text bullets.

Standardizing AI-generated bullet symbols

When importing AI-generated text, bullet symbols ("–", "*", "•") are automatically converted to our standard bullet. Single-line text with a leading bullet is treated as decoration and the bullet is removed.

2. "Do not display text on screen" is now available when creating SOPs

The "Hide text" setting, which hides step descriptions during playback, previously had to be configured in Basic information after the SOP was created. Now you can choose it when creating the SOP, in the Step conversion settings.

It appears when you create a new SOP from video, file, or PDF.
Your selection is remembered for future SOPs.
You can still switch it later in Basic information under Playback & display settings.
This option does not appear when inserting steps into an existing SOP (because inserting would change the display settings for the entire procedure).

Use this when you want a clean video-like appearance for step procedures, or when you want to show only images, slides, and narration without text.

3. AI check can now be attached in bulk when creating SOPs (beta)

"AI check", which verifies submitted photos, previously required setting it up individually for each question. Now you can enable it in bulk from Step conversion settings.

Checking "Use AI check" automatically adds "Require photo submission" and "Use AI check" to all steps with questions.
AI check and photo submission are paired, so both are applied together.
If you use keyword filtering for questions, the setting applies only to the filtered steps.
You can adjust individual steps later from each step's question settings.
Available for Pro and Enterprise plans. Other plans cannot select this option.

AI check is a feature that verifies submitted photos and advises OK / Needs check / Cannot determine (beta). It's positioned as a second check to complement worker verification, does not make pass/fail decisions, and does not block answer submission.

4. AI check results now appear on inspection records (Viewing records)

Previously, AI check results were only visible to the worker who submitted the photo. Now they appear on the inspection record (Viewing records), so you can review them later.

A small badge (AI○ / AI! / AI?) appears in the relevant cell.
Hover over the badge to see the AI observation, its reasoning, and the number of checks.
The same information appears in the list and drawer views on mobile.
When exported to CSV, it appears as "(AI:Match)", "(AI:Needs check)", or "(AI:Cannot determine)".

Worker answers (Normal / Abnormal) are not overwritten by AI check results. The inspection record's primary source is always human judgment; AI provides only notes. AI observations use a different color from the red used for "Abnormal" to distinguish them.

5. Other improvements

Fixed an issue where AI processing failed to extract audio from videos with no sound (e.g., screen recordings with microphone and system audio disabled). The system now checks for audio first and switches to video-only mode if needed.
Fixed an issue where unnamed folders sometimes appeared in the Home folder list. Renaming such a folder or creating procedures in it could make the entire list unreadable.
The save destination folder is now automatically selected when creating your first SOP. Previously, if no destination was chosen, only the final publish step would fail. The selected folder name now appears on screen (you can move it later).
Fixed incorrect messaging in trial notifications when you had an active plan. The message said "After the trial ends, you'll automatically return to the Free plan," but your actual return plan was your previously contracted plan.
You can now start a trial of a higher plan even if you have a plan change or future-dated contract reservation scheduled for next renewal. Previously you had to wait for the reservation to take effect.
Editor-facing notices (video editing cautions) no longer appear to read-only SOP viewers. They now only show to users who can edit.
When the overview description on the playback start screen is long and wraps, it now switches to left alignment if it spans 2+ lines to improve readability.
Fixed extra whitespace remaining in step editing screens that had no questions configured.
Fixed an issue where plan names in monthly usage emails were showing default text instead of your actual plan name.

Impact on existing SOPs

Text in already-created SOPs has not changed. Existing descriptions that already use bullets now automatically display as bullet points (the text itself is not rewritten). Both "Do not display text on screen" and AI check bulk configuration default to off.
