We have split "Work Analysis" into 3 features by purpose. Until now, Work Analysis was a single pathway to measure time by element and create standard work, requiring preparation of SOPs and element details before starting. Many customers have requested "I want AI to review a video more easily" and "I want to see if we're following the SOP." We are now offering these as separate functions. Work Analysis is a Pro plan or higher feature.
① Work Analysis split into 3 by prerequisites
"Work Analysis" in the sidebar is now divided into the following 3 options. Although both show "AI reviews video," each requires different prerequisites.
- Quick Analysis … One video only. No SOP or standard time required
- Compare with SOP … See if work is done according to the SOP. Requires an SOP
- Time Analysis … Measure time by element, create standard work, and identify improvements
The Work Analysis you had until now continues as "Time Analysis." All created projects, reference videos, and comparison results remain, with only the access location in the sidebar changing to "Time Analysis."
② Quick Analysis — Improvement hints and risky moments from one video
Many customers requested "I want AI to review a video before creating an SOP." This new feature is available now. Simply select one video to start. No SOP or element setup required.
●What you get
- Risky moments … Scenes where injury may occur (unprotected equipment not worn, hands near moving objects, unstable posture, no handholds at height, etc.) and scenes that may cause defects (dropping or dragging parts, soiling surfaces, skipping checks, etc.) are listed with injury/defect category and severity
- Improvement hints … Lists insights about work arrangement such as waste, tool changes, searching for items
In the results screen, clicking on an item jumps to that time point in the video, and a box highlights the relevant part.
●How to start
- Open [Work Analysis] → [Quick Analysis] in the sidebar and click [Start Quick Analysis] in the upper right
- Select a video and enter a one-line description of the work (optional, but entering it reduces irrelevant suggestions)
- Select the Sharing scope (Self only / Group / Entire team) and click [Analyze]
From the media list or media card [Run work analysis with this media], you can choose between Quick Analysis and Time Analysis. You will receive an email when analysis is complete.
●Notes
Improvement hints appear only for media that has already been processed by video AI analysis (AI processing for creating SOPs). For videos not yet AI-analyzed, only risky moment detection runs. Note that the "AI Improvement suggestion" previously in STEP1 of Time Analysis has moved to Quick Analysis. It no longer appears in Time Analysis, but any suggestions previously generated remain in the Improvement suggestion sheet of Excel exports as before.
③ Compare with SOP — Verify work is done according to the SOP
This feature was also added based on many customer requests. AI reviews an operator's video against an SOP to verify work is done according to the SOP. Each step is marked "Done," "Missing," "Out of order," or "Unverified," and risky moments are also listed. The AI provides a reference opinion; it does not judge pass or fail. Final judgment is made by the supervisor.
●Compare from an SOP or from an AI-processed file
From [Add comparison] in the upper right, choose either [From an SOP] or [From file]. "From file" lets you use an existing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or PDF as the comparison reference if it is already AI-processed. If you have a work standard document not yet in Dive, you can use the file as is as the comparison reference.
When adding, the name of the SOP or file to use as the reference and [Check the contents] appear. For SOPs, you can view the content in the player; for files, in the AI processing results screen, and then decide while viewing the content.
●Results are kept by person
You set the person (executor) for the comparison. Results appear in a list by person, reference, date executed, and status; the person can also view them from their Personal page. On their screen, they can use gaps in steps, order differences, and advice in their daily work.
Sharing scope is set per comparison, and results from people without permission do not appear in the list.
●Version differences are now visible
- When the version used for comparison is earlier than the latest published version, "Old version" appears in the list and details. The detail header shows the actual version this comparison used.
- Comparisons based on deleted SOPs or files previously disappeared from the list without explanation. Now they are marked "Deleted," results remain visible, and only addition of new comparisons and re-analysis are blocked
●Start comparison from an SOP card too
You can now proceed directly to "Compare" from the […] menu on the SOP card. Start without opening the editor. Draft SOPs cannot be used as the comparison reference (published versions are the standard).
④ Time Analysis — Improved measurement precision and stable reference
In repetitive work, "the number of elements per cycle doesn't match" and "my edits aren't reflected" were occurring. We have identified the causes and made the following fixes.
●Switched to Time Analysis-specific motion extraction
Previously, Time Analysis used the results of video AI analysis created for SOP generation. For SOPs, consolidating cycles from the 2nd onward is correct, but Time Analysis lost correspondence between cycles. We now provide dedicated extraction that consolidates nothing—designed solely for repetitive analysis—and output all cycles at the same level of detail. Extraction results are saved with the media, so when the same video is used in another project, they are reused from the 2nd time onward.
We also have AI read timecodes burned into the video, improving the precision of time detection. Previously, times tended to round to 1-second intervals; now they align with actual boundaries, and the number of cycles captured correctly has increased.
●You can now specify the Range to analyze
When cycles are incomplete at the start or end, element count won't match and reference alignment breaks. You can now specify Range to analyze before analysis. Drag the handles at both ends to define the range. The video itself is not cut.
●Fixed: Element edits were not reflected in results
Changing one character in an element name removed it from comparisons; adding an element in only one cycle wasn't reflected; table rows changed unexpectedly. The cause was that we were re-estimating the reference sequence from all cycles every display, so editing even one element shifted the reference itself.
We now save the reference elements to the project. The default is created once from AI analysis results; afterward, it remains stable no matter how much you edit. Re-analysis regenerates it; [Reset] returns it to the default.
We also enabled editing the reference itself in the Cycle adjustment screen (add, delete, reorder, rename). You can split, merge, add, delete elements, assign to reference, and undo/redo. The "Match with the reference" bar lets you see at a glance what exists and what's missing in each cycle.
●Reference video selection revised
- Reference videos are now limited to cycles where element count is complete. Cycles with missing elements produce a smaller total and, if selected, create an incomplete reference.
- Previously, we narrowed candidates using upper and lower bounds based on median, but for videos with stalls, legitimate fast cycles were excluded. We now simply take the fastest cycle.
●Manual adjustment of operator measurements now available
Previously, when comparing with operators (new staff), we couldn't fix elements AI missed. Now, we've added split, merge with next, return to not detected, and undo/redo to the operator side, so you can add measurement to previously undetected elements.
Comparison results now display based on the "standard when AI used for alignment." Even if you later add, remove, or reorder elements on the standard side, the meaning of results shown won't change silently. When results differ from the current standard, the screen shows this and provides an entry point to re-analyze.
Impact on existing customers
All your Work Analysis projects and results remain. Only the access location in the sidebar has changed to "Time Analysis." The "AI Improvement suggestion" that was in STEP1 of Time Analysis has moved to "Quick Analysis." No settings changes are required from you.
