In addition to the title and overview, SOPs can include a document number, items used, and standard time. These fields let you add the same metadata from your standard work documents to Dive. They are available in all plans.
These three fields are retained for each version of the SOP. When you export a previous version, it displays the values from that version.
Document number
This is your internal management number. You enter it in the "Basic information" tab of the SOP editor, just like the title.
If an SOP with the same document number already exists, a notification appears below the input field. The system does not prevent you from entering the number.
Items used
Register the items used in the work (tools, materials, consumables, protective equipment, etc.). Each item has the following fields:
- Type
- Name
- Part number
- Quantity (with unit)
Decide on the type of item as a team
The options that appear for "Type" can be edited by your team. Open "Dictionary / Templates" from the side menu and configure the settings in the "Type of item used" tab.
You can also import from preset templates for your industry. Since only missing options are added, importing multiple times will not create duplicates.
How items are handled when translated
When you translate and view or export an SOP, the name and type label of items used are also translated. Part number and quantity and unit are not translated. Part numbers must remain unchanged to preserve their meaning, and translating units without context can cause confusion.
If you output to your company's format and the template includes the item type, keep the words in the template in the original language. Only the displayed output is translated. For more information, see Export SOPs in your company's format (Export format).
Have AI extract items
When creating an SOP from a video or reference material, if "Include the items used detected by AI" in "Step conversion settings" > "Options" is checked (the default is ON), AI identifies items used in the work and lists them on the cover. This option appears only when AI successfully detects items from the source material.
You can also use this feature when you insert a video or reference material into an existing SOP. When inserting, items are added to the cover rather than replaced. Items with the same name and part number are not added twice.
Standard time
This is the baseline time for each step. You set it on the "Standard time" card for each step. The total appears in the Basic information section.
It does not change automatically
Standard time is treated as a benchmark value that you set manually. Video length is used only as a suggestion for the initial value; standard time does not change automatically when you replace the video. If the benchmark changed every time you re-recorded, it would no longer be reliable for work estimation.
If you want to bulk update all step times to match video length, use "Match all steps to their video length" in Basic information. The standard time of steps that have a video is overwritten with the duration of that video.
How the total is calculated
The total includes only steps that have a value. Even if only some steps have values, the total is calculated. The player displays the count of steps that have been set along with the total.
Automatically filled from Work Analysis
When you create an SOP from a model video built in Work Analysis (Time Analysis), the initial values for each step's standard time are automatically filled. If you divide steps according to element work, the duration of each element is used. If you combine steps, the total duration of the combined steps is used. Sections that are cut do not become steps and are not included in the total.
Automatic population occurs only at the time of creation. After that, the values do not change even if you replace the video or redivide steps.

- SOP list and cards … The document number and items used appear
- Search … You can search by document number (exact match only) and by item name and part number. Document number uses exact match only to avoid retrieving unrelated parts with similar part numbers
- Export … Items are included in PDF, Word, Excel, and company format exports. You can use export options to include or exclude each field
