By updating the mobile app, the following three features are now available. The app size has also been reduced, making downloads faster.
The app can be downloaded from App Store and Google Play Store.
① Offline Playback Enhancement for Mobile App
Mobile App Advantages
- Unlike web browsers, the app uses in-app storage, so downloaded data is reliably accumulated (automatic deletion is unlikely)
- In web browsers, videos are not downloaded unless you preload them, but on the mobile app, videos are automatically downloaded during normal playback. This provides peace of mind if you happen to go offline. Additionally, playback is faster from the second time onward, providing benefits in everyday use as well.

② AR Feature Renewal
We have renewed the AR feature available on the mobile app. Overall, it is now much easier to use AR in a targeted way, making AR usage more accessible. By introducing a mechanism that allows AR settings for each step, which were previously separate between AR SOPs and video SOPs, it is now easier to combine them.
Since AR settings are now easier to configure for each step, it is now easier to first create the foundation of the SOP on a PC and then create the necessary AR content for the necessary steps.
For the latest AR settings methods, please refer to here.
● SOP Viewing
AR Mode Changed to Portrait UI
We redesigned the UI. While it was in landscape orientation, changing it to portrait makes it easier to hold the smartphone with one hand and use AR.
Users Can View AR as Needed
For steps that have AR configured, a "View in AR" button is displayed, and tapping it switches to AR mode.
*Currently, support for video SOPs is not available. We plan to support this in the future. For video SOPs, please create a separate empty step and configure the AR definition there.
Plane Detection for Display
For AR without scan data, plane detection is now enabled. You can tap where you want to place the AR content. Even for steps with scan data, you can skip the alignment and switch to plane detection mode, so you can have peace of mind if alignment fails for any reason.
● Editing
"Snap" in AR Editing Placement to Real World
In AR object placement, it is now possible to recognize and place objects based on the planes and shapes of the real world. With drag operations on the screen, objects are automatically recognized and placed three-dimensionally. This alleviates previous issues such as "objects not being placed where intended" and "time-consuming depth adjustment".
Additionally, for movement, there are "Snap", "Lock axis", and "Follow" options, which you can choose based on your preference. "Follow" is closest to the previous operation feel.
Scan Data as Materials
Previously, scan data was tied to SOPs, making it difficult to reuse in other SOPs, but by converting them to materials, reuse is now easier.
Use Multiple Scan Data in One SOP
Previously, one SOP equaled one scan data, but now it can be configured for each step. This makes point-of-use easier. Operations such as using one scan data for step 1, a different scan data for step 2, and so on, are now possible.
AR Editing Rotation and Size Change Operation UI
The rotation and size change operations for AR objects have been changed to be performed using a UI on the operation screen.
● Impact on Previously Created AR SOPs
- You can continue to use the same data. Please note that as a result of this renewal, video objects and URL objects have been discontinued.
- During revision, the current scan data definition will be assigned to each step.
- When opening an AR SOP in DiveGlass, in the currently released version, the AR information of the step with the lowest step number is used. DiveGlass will also be updated in the future, so please wait for the release.
③ Remote Support Renewal
We redesigned the call screen UI. Additionally, a map showing waiting status is now fixed in the lower left, making monitoring easier. Also, since Snap is adopted in AR object placement, it is now easier to place objects where intended.
For specific instructions on how to start remote support, please refer to here.
