This feature lets you clear all questions (quizzes) set on an SOP or convert them to pass/fail judgment in bulk without opening each step individually. You edit only the questions while keeping the steps themselves and their content intact.
When to use this
- You added many questions for testing, but want read-only with no questions for production rollout
- Video→SOP auto-generated questions, and you want to remove them in bulk to make a simpler SOP
- You need to redesign questions, so you want to clear everything at once and reorganize
- You want to MP4 export an SOP with branching (remove the questions that trigger branching to make it linear)
- You want to switch to inspection/Checklist operation, so you need to convert questions with correct answers to pass/fail judgment in bulk
How to launch
- Open the target SOP in Edit mode
- Click [Other] menu (top right) → [Bulk edit]
- Switch the tab at the top of the modal to [Bulk edit questions]
Choose an action (make pass/fail judgment or clear questions)
Use the action switch (segment) in the tab to select the operation you want to run.
- [Make it pass/fail judgment] (default): Converts questions with correct answers into pass/fail judgment questions. The choice that was marked "correct" is now treated as "Normal," and whether a user selects it or not, the SOP doesn't stop—the response is recorded as "Abnormal" in viewing records. For details, see Pass/fail judgment questions and viewing records (inspection/Checklist operation)
- [Clear question]: Resets questions to "None" (traditional bulk clear behavior)
The default is [Make it pass/fail judgment]. If you want to remove questions, be sure to switch to [Clear question].
[Use template] (Pro plan and above): Select a pre-registered question template to replace or add questions to the target steps in bulk (you can also add to steps that have no questions). For usage details, see How to create and use question templates.
Select target steps
Only steps with questions configured are listed. Steps with no questions don't appear.
- Filter search: You can filter by step title or question text (convenient if there are many)
- Individual check: Turn on the checkbox for each step you want to process (all are selected by default)
- Bulk select: Use [Select all] / [Deselect all] at the top to change all at once
Execute
The button text in the footer changes based on the selected action. Always confirm before clicking.
- If the action is [Clear question]: [Clear N selected questions] (red button)
- If the action is [Make it pass/fail judgment]: [Convert N selected to pass/fail judgment]
Clicking processes all questions in the selected steps at once. The change is recorded in the SOP notes (edit history) as "Bulk cleared questions: N items" / "Converted questions to pass/fail judgment: N items".
※ Changes don't take effect until you save and publish. After confirming, [Save] / [Publish] as usual.
Behavior after clearing (when you choose [Clear question])
- The steps themselves and their content (title, details, tips, quality warning, safety, captions, etc.) remain
- Only questions (question text, choices, correct answer, branching rules) are cleared
- When viewing a cleared step, the question modal doesn't appear, and users proceed directly to the next step
- If a question that was a branching trigger is cleared, the branching is disabled and the SOP becomes linear (sequential)
Behavior after converting to pass/fail judgment (when you choose [Make it pass/fail judgment])
- For multiple-choice questions with correct answers, the choice marked correct becomes "Normal"
- For numeric input questions, the correct range (lower limit–upper limit) switches to "Normal range"
- Whether Normal or Abnormal, the SOP doesn't stop and continues forward; the response is recorded as "Abnormal" in viewing records
- Conditional branching doesn't change automatically (branching settings are kept as is)
Choose "don't create questions" when converting video→SOP
You can also skip question generation altogether at the video→SOP creation stage. In the audio/caption settings modal when creating an SOP from a video, uncheck "Create questions" and auto-generation of questions is skipped.
This saves you the hassle of bulk clearing later. If you don't use questions in your operation, it's convenient to turn this OFF during video→SOP conversion.
Tips for best use
- If you want to MP4 export an SOP with branching: Use [Clear question] to bulk clear the questions that trigger branching, which linearizes the SOP and makes MP4 export possible (SOPs with branching don't yet support MP4 output)
- If you want to switch to inspection operation: Bulk convert existing quiz questions with correct answers using [Make it pass/fail judgment], and you're done switching from training→inspection in one operation
- If you want to separate test and production versions: Keep questions in the test version, then in production use a copied SOP and bulk clear it
- Clearing and deleting are different: This feature sets questions to "None" only. If you want to remove the step itself, use the normal step deletion
- Save as draft before operating: When editing questions from many steps, it's safer to save as draft beforehand (you can revert from history)
