Register questions (pass/fail judgment questions / multiple choice / numeric ranges, etc.) that you set in SOPs as templates, and apply them to multiple steps all at once. Instead of repeatedly setting up similar inspection questions, you can simply select a template once.
Question templates are available on the Pro plan or higher.
When to use this
- In checklist operations, you want to set "No issues / Repair needed" pass/fail judgments across many steps
- You want to reuse specification questions like numeric range checks (example: Pressure 0.8–1.2 MPa) across multiple steps
- You want to standardize questions with the same choices and correct answer (example: "Performed" "Not performed" → Performed) and save them as templates
- You want to replace team-standard question sets with questions from SOPs you created in the past
Create a question template
- Open "Dictionary / Templates" in the sidebar
- Switch to "Templates" from the tabs at the top
- Click "New"
- Enter the following:
- Template name (example: Pass/fail judgment standard / Pressure check 0.8–1.2 MPa)
- Question type: Multiple choice / Numeric range / Multiple choice with pass/fail judgment, etc.
- Question text (the text displayed on the shop floor)
- Choices / Correct answer / Pass/fail judgment settings
- Click "Save" to share it with the entire team
Templates you create can be edited or deleted from the template list. If you update the question content later, it will be reflected in future applications (content in SOPs where the template was previously applied will not change).
Apply a template to a single step
In the SOP editor, open the target step and click "Use template" in the question settings field. Select from the template list, and the question in that step will be replaced with the template content (you can also add it to a step that has no questions).
Apply a template to multiple steps at once
When you want to "apply the same template to all 10 places in this SOP at once," use the bulk edit modal.
- Open the target SOP in edit mode
- Click "Other" menu in the upper right → "Bulk edit"
- Switch to "Bulk edit questions" in the tabs at the top of the modal
- Select "Use template" in the action toggle segment
- Select the question template you want to apply from the dropdown
- Check the boxes for the steps where you want to apply it (default is select all; you can also use filter search)
- Click "Apply template to selected [N] items"
The questions from the selected template will now be reflected across all target steps. You can add questions from the template even to steps with no questions set, so you can quickly insert questions into SOPs that are becoming checklists.
Frequently asked questions
Q. Can I use this on Free / Lite / Core plans?
A. This feature is available on the Pro plan or higher. When you open the bulk edit modal on a lower plan, a CTA link to a higher plan trial will appear when you try to execute the "Use template" action.
Q. If I update a template, will it automatically reflect in SOPs where I applied it in the past?
A. No, it will not. The template is taken into the step as a "snapshot at the time of application," so editing the template later will not change the content of existing SOPs (this design prevents unintended bulk changes). If you want it reflected, apply the template again.
Q. What happens to the original question when a template replaces it?
A. The question (question type / question text / choices / correct answer / pass/fail judgment) in the selected step will be replaced with the template content. Other elements such as step text, title, and video are not affected. For steps with no questions, the template question will be added.
Q. Where do I manage team templates?
A. In the "Dictionary / Templates" page in the sidebar, under the "Templates" tab. It is consolidated on the same page as the Pronunciation Dictionary / Terminology Glossary / Notation Unification Dictionary / Tags.
