We've reviewed work analysis (time study) in full. We've made cycle variation visible, added the ability to record improvement reasons in Dive, and enabled you to distinguish between AI-extracted elements and manually edited elements, with standardized comparison criteria.
①Work variation is now visible
Previously, variation between cycles in repeated work could only be judged by comparing the numbers in the element × cycle table. We've added "Variation analysis" to the right panel of STEP2 Extract, so you can switch between it and "Building the model".
●What appears
- Variation per element: For each element, we display the shortest – longest range, average, and the spread of variation centered on the average
- Cycle time variation: Shows how the time for one cycle varies from one repetition to the next
You can see which elements are unstable from cycle to cycle, which helps you decide which cycle to use for the model and which areas to standardize first. It appears in videos with 2 or more repetitions.
The Excel output also has a new "Variation" sheet with the same numbers you see on screen.
②You can record improvement reasons
Previously, if you cut or merged elements, you had to write down the reasons elsewhere. In STEP4 Improvement, you can now write an improvement note for each element.
●What you can record
- Improvement category: Eliminate (remove), Consolidate (combine), Rearrange (change order), Simplify, Other
- Free text: Description of what you changed and how
The notes appear in the reduction column in STEP5 Verify and in the "Improvement" sheet of Excel output. Later, you can trace back why an element was deleted.
③You can see which elements were edited after AI analysis
Previously, there was no way to tell AI-extracted elements apart from manually edited ones. In the element list, elements edited by a person now have a dot next to the work name. Hover over the dot to see what changed at which step.
- STEP2 Extract: Changes made after AI analysis (work name / work classification / cut / elements added by a person)
- STEP3 Classification: Changes from the model (work name / work classification / cut / correction speed / consolidation)
We don't record who made the change, only what changed and at which step.
This tracking begins with analyses remade or re-analyzed after this update. Earlier existing analyses won't show the dot (to avoid showing incorrect marks).
④Comparison is now shown against the standard at analysis time
Previously, STEP6 Comparison results have always been based on the standard AI matched at the time of comparison. However, the standard's band and video on screen were always rebuilt from the current standard. This caused a mismatch: if you edited the standard later, the numbers and visual standard didn't align, and the red delay line would appear offset from the bar's end.
Now the standard is also displayed as it was at analysis time. This means:
- Numbers, bar, and video all align to the same standard
- If you edit the standard later, element alignment and delay display still work
- The screen shows which standard the results are compared against
This takes effect for comparisons done after this update. Earlier comparisons display the current standard as before, and the screen shows that. If you want to review against the latest standard, click "Re-analyze" at the top of the screen.
⑤Other improvements and bug fixes
●Usability
- On the comparison screen, you can now enlarge both the standard and target video (for viewing fine details)
- Subtitles can now be placed on the left or right of the video. You can also switch in STEP5 Verify and STEP6 Comparison. Your choice is remembered the next time you open
- Clicking an improvement suggestion in STEP6 takes you to that element's scene
- We've standardized how long work names are shortened in the element list and Gantt chart. The full text appears on hover
- We've organized color usage across the whole work analysis screen. Blue is now used only for net work, and states like selection and playback are shown by intensity and thickness instead
●Protection during simultaneous editing
- When two people had the same analysis open, the one who saved last would overwrite all the other's edits. Now we detect conflicts, don't save, send a notification, and stop auto-save going forward
●Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue on STEP6 Comparison where playing an element on the standard side that was built from multiple cycles would show footage from a different scene partway through. Even comparisons already done will show the corrected version when reopened
- Fixed an issue where clicking the Rotate 90° button sometimes had no effect when the video was enlarged
- Fixed an issue where clicking "Reset" on STEP3 in an analysis with a model would revert to all cycles instead of just the model
- Fixed an issue where old model information sometimes remained after re-analysis or video replacement
- Fixed an issue where clicking "Proceed with this model" on STEP2 without making changes would prompt to recreate, losing classification and improvement edits
- Fixed an issue where going back to STEP3 after rearranging on STEP4 would cause playback position and "Split at playback position" to point to wrong elements
- Fixed an issue where dragging a Gantt chart boundary once would fill the undo history so you couldn't return to earlier operations
- Fixed an issue in Excel Export where the "Extract" sheet would shift rows if a cycle had a missing element
- Excel output headers and sheet names now appear in your language
- Fixed an issue where analyses identified as 1 cycle wouldn't show "Sections that could not be analyzed" or the re-analyze option
- Fixed an issue where running "Re-analyze this section only" didn't include the newly found section in the analysis results. We now confirm that element work analysis will be redone before executing
- Fixed an issue where view-only users saw buttons that didn't work
Impact on existing data
Work analysis data you've already created will continue to work as is. You don't need to recreate or re-analyze.
The edit indicators in ③ and the "show at analysis time" display in ④ have a start point for tracking. For existing analyses, these become available when you recreate the model or re-analyze.
