With Even Realities G1/G2 and Vuzix Z100, you can display Dive SOPs as text on the glasses. On the Dive SOP screen, tap “Send to glasses,” and the step name, text, and questions are sent to the glasses. You can then use the glasses to move through pages and steps and to answer questions. The steps you view and your answers to questions are recorded in Dive, just as they are when you view them on a smartphone or PC.
Only text is shown on the glasses. Photos and videos are not displayed. If you want to see photos or videos, open the same SOP in Dive on your smartphone.
This feature is available on the Pro Plan or higher. You use the glasses by connecting them to the Mentra app (MentraOS) on your smartphone, and Dive is installed as an app that runs on top of it.
What you need
- Even Realities G1/G2, or Vuzix Z100
- A smartphone (Android / iPhone) and the Mentra app
- A Dive account on the Pro Plan or higher
Even Realities glasses cannot be used from the Mentra app while they are still connected to the Even Realities app. First, disconnect the glasses from the Even Realities app, and then connect them in the Mentra app. For how to connect the glasses themselves, follow the instructions in the Mentra app.
First steps
1. Install the Dive app
- On your smartphone, open the Mentra app and connect your glasses.
- In the Mentra app settings, open “Developer settings,” and tap “Scan Mini App QR Code.”
- On the App download page, scan the QR code for “Even Realities G1/G2 and Vuzix Z100.”
Dive is added to the app list in the Mentra app. When a new version is released, you can reinstall it by scanning the same QR code.
2. Connect to Dive
- Log in to Dive on a PC or smartphone, and open “Login QR code for AR glasses app” from the menu at the top right.
- Tap “For the Mentra app, click here.” A number and a QR code for connecting are displayed.
- Open Dive in the Mentra app, enter the number in “Dive connection,” and tap “Connect.” (You can also scan the QR code with “Scan QR.”)
When connected, “Connected” is displayed. The connection is valid for 30 days. If it expires, connect again by following the same steps.
Send an SOP to glasses
- Open an SOP in Dive.
- Tap “Send to glasses” at the top right of the screen.
The SOP is sent from the step you have open, in the language shown on the screen. “Send to glasses” is only shown when you have connected glasses with your own account.
The Dive app on the glasses checks for received SOPs every minute, when you open the screen on your smartphone, and when you look up. If you want to receive them right away, tap “Receive” on the smartphone screen. Received SOPs are listed under “SOPs received from Dive.” Tap one to show it on the glasses.

What you see on the glasses and how to use them
How steps are displayed
The first line shows “Step number/Total steps Step name,” and the text continues from the second line. Steps that do not fit on one screen are split into pages, and the page number, such as “(1/2),” is shown at the end of the first line. For steps with questions, the questions are shown on the last page of the step.
On the Even Realities G1, dakuten and handakuten (Japanese voiced sound marks) are displayed as separate marks after the character, not combined with it. The text size on the glasses is set for each model and cannot be changed.
How to operate
Use “Next” and “Back” to move through pages and steps. When you move through to the last page, you go on to the next step. “Down” and “Up” are only used to move between question choices.
| Operation | Voice | Touch |
| Next page / To next step | next | Tap |
| Previous page / Previous step | back | Double tap |
| Move between question options | down / up | Swipe down / Swipe up |
| Answer the question | select | Tap |
Touch operations can be used on models whose touch input the Mentra app can receive, such as the Even Realities G2. On the Even Realities G1, operate with your voice and the smartphone screen. The same operations are also available with “Back,” “Next,” “Up,” and “Down” on the smartphone screen.
Voice operation can be used by turning on “Control by voice” under “Glasses settings” on the smartphone screen. It responds only when you say just the command words, and does not respond to words spoken within a conversation. Voice is transcribed in the Mentra cloud.
Answering questions
Yes/No, multiple-choice, and multiple-selection questions can be answered on the glasses. Move through the choices and select one, and Dive checks your answer. If the answer is correct, “Correct” is displayed on the last line, and after a short time you move on to the next step. If the answer is wrong, “Incorrect. Please choose again.” is displayed.
Questions that need a text or number answer, and questions that need a photo to be submitted, cannot be answered on the glasses. The first line of the question page shows “Cannot answer on the glasses.” Open the same SOP with “Open in Dive on smartphone” on the smartphone screen and answer there.
Glasses settings
On the smartphone screen, under “Glasses settings,” you can choose how SOPs are displayed on the glasses.
- Always show (Default): Keeps the steps displayed on the glasses.
- Only when looking up: Displayed when you look up, and hidden when you look down. Available only on the Even Realities G1, which can detect head direction.
- Hide: Nothing is shown on the glasses. The step position and records are kept as they are.
When using “Only when looking up,” turn off “Contextual Dashboard” under Mentra app settings → Dashboard so that the steps are not hidden. If it stays on, the glasses switch to the Mentra clock and notification screen when you look up. The angle used to detect looking up can be changed with “Adjust Head-Up Angle” on the same screen.

Close the SOP / Remove from the list
To stop displaying on the glasses, tap “Close” for the SOP that is shown on the glasses in “SOPs received from Dive.” When you open a closed SOP again, it starts from the first step. Tapping “Next” on the completion screen after the last step also closes it.
To remove received SOPs from the list, tap “Select,” check the SOPs you want to remove, and then tap “Remove N selected.” To view them again, send them again from Dive.
Language
On the list screen, under “Language,” you can switch between Japanese and English. The smartphone screen, the fixed text shown on the glasses, and the voice command words all switch. The English voice commands are next/back/down/up/select. The text of an SOP stays in the language it was sent from Dive.
Tools
From “Tools” on the list screen, you can show a stopwatch or clock on the glasses. While they are displayed, step operations do not work. To go back to the SOP, tap “Close” under “Tools,” or select an SOP from the list.
- Stopwatch: Tap “Start” to start timing, and tap “Exit” to return to 00:00.
- Clock: Shows the month, day, day of the week, and time. Voice is not used while the clock is displayed.
When “Only when looking up” is selected, the stopwatch or clock is shown in large numbers that fill the glasses screen.
Records
The steps you view on the glasses and your answers to questions are saved in Dive’s viewing records, in the same format as when you view them on a smartphone or PC. Records are kept only for Target SOPs sent from Dive. Trial SOPs (demo) included in the app are not recorded.
