Accounts and Users
Dive distinguishes between "accounts" and "users" as follows:
- Account: Identification information used for logging in (an email address or the Login ID of an Email-free account). The limit (allocation) per plan is counted by the number of accounts.
- User: A person who belongs to a team and uses Dive. A single account is added to each team as a "user" for use.
- An account uses an email address as its ID. For factory floor staff without an email address, we can issue an "Email-free account" that uses a Login ID method without email. For details, see Add user. Users log in to the system using their account and use Dive. Although multiple people can use one account, we recommend one account per person from a security perspective. Please operate according to your organization's IT security policy.
- You can register an account from the invitation email in Add user (Invite by email). If the email address has already been used to register an account in another team, it will be added as a user and remain the same account while the team switches.
Account Limit
- Each plan has a permission allocation (account limit) set (for Pro, the limit for Owner through View permissions is 50). Within this limit, you can add users to a team. If you disable a user, the space for that account becomes available.
Example: Account limit is 50, and currently 50 users are registered. Remaining space is 0, so no new users can be added at this point. However, if you disable 2 existing users, the remaining space becomes 2, and you can add 2 new users. -
The account limit can be increased by applying an option.
About Disabling Users
- Disabling a user does not delete the account itself. A disabled user can no longer log in to the original team, but an Owner / Team Admin can restore them from "Disabled users". At the time of restoration, the permission limit is rechecked, so restoration is not possible if no space is available.
- Even if a user is disabled, usage history remains. If an administrator restores the user, the usage history can be viewed again.
- If you wish to completely delete an account, please contact us.
