There are two ways to change account information: users can change their own information, or Owner / Team Admin can change other users' information. The items you can change differ between the two, so we'll explain each.
Regardless of which changes you make, the user's usage history, group affiliation, and permissions are preserved.
Users changing their own account information
You can change your own information from the user icon (user menu) in the top right of the screen.
Display name
You can change your display name in this team (it does not affect other teams).
Profile photo
You can set or change your profile photo (avatar).
Password
You can change your password from "Change password". Email-free account users can also change their own password.
* Users who log in via SSO (single sign-on) cannot change their password on the Dive side (it is managed on the ID provider side).
Two-factor authentication
You can set it from "Two-factor authentication settings". Note that email-free accounts cannot set up two-factor authentication (because there is no recovery method if lost).
Administrators changing other users' account information
Owner / Team Admin / Group Administrator can change email addresses, switch account types, and more from "User details" in User management.
Opening User details
- Open "User management" in the sidebar
- Click the target user to open "User details"
Changes related to ID and password can be made from the [...] button in the top right of "User details".
Change email address
You can change the email address (Login ID) of a user who logs in with an email address.
- From the [...] menu, select "Change email address"
- Enter the new email address and click "Send confirmation email"
- A confirmation link will be sent to the new address. The change is confirmed when the user opens the link (the link is valid for 24 hours)
If the confirmation email is not received, you can resend it from "Resend confirmation email".
Switch account type
"Log in with email" accounts and "Email-free accounts" can be switched interchangeably.
● Log in with email → Email-free account
- From the [...] menu, select "Switch to email-free account"
- Enter a Login ID (such as employee number; optional; auto-assigned if blank)
- Click "Switch to ID"
- A new Login ID and Initial password will be issued. Please distribute these to the user
After switching, the previous email address login will no longer work.
● Email-free account → Log in with email
- From the [...] menu, select "Change to a real email address"
- Enter the email address to use and click "Send confirmation email"
- A confirmation link will be sent to that address. The change is confirmed when the user opens the link
Password and invitation operations
- Password reset (email account): From "Send password reset email", you can send a reset link to the user's registered email address
- Password reissue (email-free account): Email-free accounts cannot be reset by email, so administrators reissue the password from User details
- Resend invitation email: For users who have not yet completed registration, you can resend from "Resend invitation email"
Other changes you can make in User details
- Change display name: For details, see Change a user's name
- Change permissions: Change from "Permissions". You can only assign permissions equal to or lower than your own, and Owner permissions cannot be assigned to email-free accounts (see: User permissions and permission slots)
- Change group affiliation: For details, see Edit a user's group affiliation
- Disable or restore a user: Use "Disable user" to disable (soft delete). You can restore from "Disabled users" at any time (see: Account concept and limit count)
Regardless of which changes or switches you make, the user's usage history, group affiliation, and permissions are preserved. Use these features according to your operational needs.
