This is the first step of the "Time Analysis" editor. You will choose the source video to analyze.
This article is STEP1 of the Work Analysis series. For an overview, please refer to Work Analysis Overview and Getting Started.
This Step's Positioning Has Changed
As Work Analysis has been divided into Quick Analysis / Compare with SOP / Time Analysis, STEP1 has become a step where you simply choose a video.
The "AI Improvement suggestions" that were previously displayed in this step have been moved to Quick Analysis. When you want to see areas for improvement, analyze the same video with Quick Analysis before starting Time Analysis. You don't need an SOP or Standard time — just one video will give you Improvement hints and Risky moments.
The improvement suggestions previously generated will continue to remain in the "Improvement suggestion" sheet when you export Work Analysis results to Excel.
Preparation: Prepare a Video with AI Analysis Completed
You can only select videos in STEP1 where AI analysis has been completed. Run AI analysis in [Media], and wait for completion.
Setting the phrasing (language) correctly during video AI analysis will improve the accuracy of extraction results in STEP2 and beyond.
Choose a Video
From the Side Menu
- Open [Work Analysis] → [Time Analysis] from the side menu
- Create a Project with [Create new] in the top right
- When the editor opens, click [Select a video] and select a video with AI analysis completed
From Media
You can start from the video card in [Media], or from [Run work analysis with this media] in the media list. A screen will appear asking you to choose between Quick Analysis or Time Analysis, so select [Time Analysis]. A project with that video already selected will be created, and the editor will open.

If You Want to Change the Video
You can select a different video again from [Change video] at the bottom of the screen. If you change the video after proceeding to STEP2 or later, all edited data for extraction, classification, and improvement up to that point will be discarded (a confirmation dialog will appear).
Video Rotation (90°)
If the video's orientation is sideways, you can rotate the display using the 90° rotation button in the top right of the video. The rotation setting is shared and persisted across the entire project (all steps and comparison), so once you adjust it in STEP1, subsequent steps will play in the same orientation. It does not affect the output video.
Proceed with This Video or Reshoot
Click [Proceed with this video] at the bottom of the screen to move to STEP2 (Extract). If you want to use a different video, use [Change video].
If you need to reconsider the work procedure itself (change of workflow, rearrangement of workflow sequence, etc.), reshoot here as it will be faster in the end. When in doubt, first Quick Analysis the same video to see the Risky moments and Improvement hints, then decide.
AI analysis of Element work is executed in STEP2. Analysis doesn't run at STEP1 because in STEP2's settings screen you first specify "whether the same work is being repeated" and the Range to analyze before analysis begins. AI credits are not consumed.
Tips for Effective Use
- If you prepare a video where the same work is repeated 3 to 5 or more times, the Model cycle will be easier to build in STEP2, and Variation will be easier to see in STEP6 (Comparison)
- Even if the video is missing cycles at the start or end of recording, you can specify the Range to analyze in STEP2 to exclude the missing parts. Please try this before reshoot
- If multiple work tasks appear in one video, create projects by dividing the range for each work task, which will make it easier to match elements
