We have released the Export format feature to meet the widespread request to "export SOPs in your company's standard work format". At the same time, we have made SAML 2.0 integration, which was previously configured individually by us, now completable through the admin screen alone.
[Added on 2026-08-23] Export format now supports Word and PowerPoint formats as well as Excel. You can now register formats in Excel (.xlsx / .xlsm), Word (.docx / .docm), and PowerPoint (.pptx / .pptm). We have also redesigned the standard PDF and added Word export. For details, see 2026-08-23 [Feature Improvement] Export format now supports Word and PowerPoint / Redesigned standard PDF / Word export added.
① Export SOPs in your company's format as Excel
Until now, the only Excel export available from Dive was in a format determined by Dive. Your company's work standard documents have a defined format with document numbers, revision columns, approval stamps, logos, and custom report layouts. Even after creating an SOP in Dive, you still had to manually transcribe it into your company format for submission and storage, resulting in extra work.
With this release, you can now register your company's Excel template file as-is. The registered format will appear as a named option under "Export" → "Excel" on the SOP details screen, and you can export in that format by selecting it.
● Format is preserved exactly
Gridlines, column widths, logos, print settings, formulas, and macros remain as registered in the file. Since we designed the export to avoid adding or removing rows, cell references used by formulas, print title rows, and macros will not be affected. Macro-enabled workbooks (.xlsm) are also supported.
● Template tags are simply written into the cells
Enter tags corresponding to the content (e.g., {{step_title}}) in the cells where you want information to be inserted. Tags can be copied by clicking them in the settings screen list. You don't have to start from scratch; you can simply add tags to your existing work standard file. Sample files with merge tags are also available for download.
● Content that can be merged
- Cover and shared: Title / Description / Revision number / Cover image
- Per step: Step number / Heading / Work content / Work tips / Quality Warning / Important safety information / Questions / Subtitles / URL to open that step / Step images / QR Code to open step
- Revision history: Rev number / Revision details / Proposer / Proposal date / Approval date / Approver
Steps use a "frame" method where you arrange as many frames as needed. Simply create one complete frame and then copy it while changing the number to build even complex, multi-row formats. Unused frames remain as blank rows, so the report gridlines stay intact.
● Terms of use
- Available with Enterprise plan
- Format registration and deletion can be done by Team Administrator or above; export can be done by anyone with permission to export SOPs
- Registrable file formats are .xlsx / .xlsm (.docx / .docm and .pptx / .pptm were added on 2026-08-23)
- The settings location is sidebar menu "Dictionaries / Templates" → "Templates" → "Export format"
For instructions on how to create, register, and a list of tags, see Export SOPs in your company format (Export format).
② Set up SAML 2.0 integration through the admin screen alone
Previously, SAML 2.0-based Single Sign-On (SSO) required us to receive the IdP metadata and configure it individually for each customer. This process took time from contact to activation, and was not available during the trial period. For customers whose onboarding was contingent on SSO working, verification had to wait until after the contract was signed.
With this release, owners can now set up SAML 2.0 integration completely through the admin screen. We have also made it available during the Enterprise plan trial period. Your IT department can now complete verification before you sign your contract.
● Setup flow
- Register the SP Entity ID / ACS URL displayed on the screen in your IdP's SAML app
- Register your company's email domain and confirm ownership by registering the displayed TXT record in DNS
- Register and save your IdP's metadata (URL or XML)
You can use any IdP that supports SAML 2.0, such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, OneLogin, and HENNGE One.
● Prevent login failures from expired certificates
If you register metadata by URL, Dive will automatically check for updates daily when your IdP updates the signing certificate. If the expiration date is approaching, you will receive email notifications 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, and 1 day before expiration.
● Auto-registration of SSO users (optional)
Users authenticated by your IdP can be automatically added to your team on their first login. This eliminates the need for invitation work, but since auto-registered users consume your Account limit (seats), this setting is off by default. If you have reached your Account limit, auto-registration will not occur (no overage billing will result).
● Terms of use
- Available with Enterprise plan (including trial period)
- Only users with Owner permissions can configure this
- The settings location is sidebar menu "Owner Functions" → "Security" → "Single Sign-On (SSO) Settings"
For setup instructions, see Set up Single Sign-On (SSO) (Microsoft Entra ID / SAML 2.0).
③ Other improvements
- Fixed an issue where selecting "Action" for the AI analysis "Split granularity" resulted in nearly the same coarse granularity as selecting "Step". Now one action becomes one step. Use this for work you want to break down finely, such as button operations or tool switching (if you want to split with the same coarse granularity as before, select "Step")
- Fixed an issue where Microsoft Entra ID (OIDC) integration would always result in "Linking failed" when domain information could not be retrieved for a tenant
- Revised the notification when your account count exceeds your contract limit. You can now see a list of accounts that will be automatically disabled before your plan switches
- In "Owner Functions" and "Dictionaries / Templates", the tab you were last viewing will now be displayed the next time you open it
Impact on existing usage
There are no changes to SOPs you have already created. If you have not registered an export format, "Export" → "Excel" will export with the standard layout as before. Once you register a format, "Excel" will show "Standard" and the names of registered formats below it.
We have not changed SSO configuration settings. If you are using Microsoft Entra ID (OIDC) integration, the configuration and behavior remain the same as before.
Only if you are using "Action" for AI analysis "Split granularity" will the number of steps in newly analyzed SOPs increase after this update. SOPs you have already created will not change.
