We have implemented a major update to core functions beyond AI, reflecting the voices of customers who actually use Dive. Most customers using Dive are considering video utilization to convert tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge (not converting existing paper manuals to video, but wanting to use video as a catalyst for standardization).

With this in mind, we have enhanced peripheral features with the mindset of "building know-how based on video."

① SOP player

We improved readability while following the existing UI design.

Performance improvements

• When opening an SOP, all narration data is retrieved, and when executing translation, translation data is retrieved at once, significantly reducing loading time during step transitions.
• Video loading speed when moving between steps has improved, and Auto transition now transitions smoothly.
• Performance during smartphone viewing without an app (web app) has been significantly improved.

New features

Step list

The overall picture of steps is now easier to understand. You can answer questions on this list as well. You can also check Revision history.

Original text display

When executing translation, the original text is now displayed alongside the translation. The same applies to Subtitles, Step list, and questions. You can also turn this off.

Mobile UI

You can now use it in portrait orientation.

Other

・You can change subtitle position to top or bottom.

・You can change the ratio between the video area and the step description area by dragging.

Impact on previous specifications

• The smartphone app used to have Offline cache enabled, but caching is currently disabled. We will finalize our policy and address this in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience.
• Share URLs remain unchanged. You can continue using the same URL.
• Hide text has been discontinued. When viewing in AR from smart glasses apps or smartphone apps, text display is Default.
• 3D SOPs have been discontinued. However, you can still use editing in XR spaces.

② Video editing editor

We have preserved the advantage of step splitting capability while completely redesigning the UI to make timeline editing easier. Information organization per step is also now simpler, making it easier to add descriptions and create questions based on content that the video could not fully express while watching the video.

Performance improvements

• Startup time for the editing editor has been improved.

When editing subtitles

Default is Off to simplify editing. When you Enable it, it displays with a dedicated timeline. You can also change the display duration of subtitles from transcription.

When editing shapes

Default is Off to simplify editing. When you Enable it, it displays with a dedicated timeline. Dragging shapes, especially editing Text, is now easier.

Granularity change

You can now specify Custom split granularity time.

Impact on previous specifications

• Due to improved video loading speed in SOPs and implementation of list view, the Cut feature (which removes unnecessary parts within the same one step) is currently disabled. Please use "Add splits" instead.
• To simplify features, the text overwrite and automatic subtitle adoption mechanism has been removed.
• Previously, transcription subtitles and manual subtitles were managed separately, but they are now unified. When loading previous data, the Latest enabled subtitles will be displayed.
• Due to low Users and simplified manual subtitle editing, the voiceover feature is currently disabled. We are considering its restoration based on needs.
• When viewing with older player versions such as smart glasses apps, the appearance of Text design and subtitles may differ. Please note this in advance.
• The concept of showing and hiding descriptions no longer exists.
• When inserting video for the first time, Mute and subtitle narration are Default. Even if transcription is available, subtitles are initially hidden.

Mobile editing

• The editing editor cannot be opened as before, but operations such as exporting steps from source video are now available. If you do not need to edit, you can complete SOP publication on your smartphone only.

③ Simplified video management in SOPs

We have solved the problem that after exporting steps from video, data was managed separately, making "Adjust splits" and similar operations complex.

Old and new comparison

Relationship between SOP and source material

Old: Source and SOP data were managed separately. Edit the source as master, then Link the source and SOP. Requires dual consideration.

New: Do not edit source. Import source material into the SOP and complete editing within the SOP data.

Data handling after video editing

Old: Separate management per step. To Adjust splits, you need to delete all and re-export.

New: Manage together per video. Edit as a single video unit, making trial-and-error editing easier.

Data handling for descriptions

Old: Step descriptions and video were managed separately.

New: Adopt video-edited data in the SOP.

Handling multiple videos

Old: After subdividing per step, you can freely swap different source materials. On the other hand, management is complicated.

New: A video block is treated as one unit, and you can move it before and after as a set. Always together.

In this example, 1-8 are one video, 9 is an image, and 10-11 are another one video. You can edit and move these blocks as units. Image and PDF steps can be edited the same way as before.
