We have split "Work Analysis" into three features by purpose. Until now, Work Analysis followed a single path: measuring time by element and creating standard work. This required preparing SOPs and defining elements before you could start. Based on requests from many customers—"I'd like AI to review my video more easily" and "I want to check if the work follows the SOP"—we've now provided each as a separate feature. Work Analysis is available on the Pro plan and above.
① We split Work Analysis into three features by prerequisites
Under "Work Analysis" in the sidebar, you now see three options. Even though they all share the goal of "show video to AI," each requires different setup.
- Quick Analysis — One video only. No SOP or standard time needed
- Compare with SOP — See if the work follows the SOP. An SOP is required
- Time Analysis — Measure time by element, create standard work, and improve
Your existing Work Analysis projects continue as-is and are now called "Time Analysis." All your created projects, reference videos, and comparison results remain, and the only change is that they now open from the sidebar's "Time Analysis" section.
② Quick Analysis — Improvement hints and risky moments from just one video
Responding to many customer requests—"I want AI to review my video before I create an SOP"—we've added this feature. You can start by selecting just one video. No SOP or element setup needed.
●What you get
- Risky moments — Scenes where injury could occur (missing PPE, hands near moving objects, unstable posture, working at height without support, etc.) and scenes that could lead to defects (dropping or dragging parts, soiling surfaces, skipping inspections, etc.), marked by type (injury or defect) and severity
- Improvement hints — Observations about work organization, such as waste, tool switching, or searching for items
In the results screen, click any finding to jump to that moment in the video, and a box appears around the matched location.
●How to start
- Open [Work Analysis] → [Quick Analysis] in the sidebar, then click [Start Quick Analysis] in the top right
- Select your video and enter a brief description of the work (optional, but reduces irrelevant findings)
- Choose your sharing scope (Only me / Group / Entire team) and click [Analyze]
You can also choose between Quick Analysis and Time Analysis from [Run work analysis with this media] on the media list or media card. You'll receive an email when analysis is complete.
●Important notes
Improvement hints appear only for media that has already been processed by video AI (the analysis that powers SOP creation). For videos that haven't been analyzed yet, only risky moments are detected. Note: The "AI Improvement Suggestion" that was in Time Analysis STEP1 has moved to Quick Analysis. It no longer appears in Time Analysis, but your previously generated suggestions remain in the "Improvement Suggestion" sheet of the Excel export.
③ Compare with SOP — Verify the work follows the procedure
Addressing customer requests, we've added this feature to let you align the worker's video with an SOP. AI will verify whether the work follows the procedure. Each step gets marked as "Done," "Missing," "Out of order," or "Unverified," along with any risky moments. AI findings are for reference only and do not determine pass/fail. The final judgment rests with the supervisor.
●Compare from either an SOP or an AI-processed file
From [Add comparison] in the top right, select either [From an SOP] or [From file]. For "From file," you can choose an existing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or PDF that has already been processed by AI. If you have a work standard document not yet made into a Dive SOP, you can use that file as-is for comparison.
When you add a comparison, the name of the SOP or file and [Check the contents] appear. You can view the SOP in the player or the AI processing results in the confirmation screen before you decide.
●Results are kept per worker
Each comparison is tied to a worker (the person being assessed). Results appear in a list with the worker, the reference, the date, and status, and the worker can also see them on their Personal page. Workers can use the step gaps, ordering differences, and suggestions in their daily work.
Sharing scope is set per comparison, and results remain hidden from those without permission.
●Version mismatch is now visible
- When a comparison used an older version of the SOP, it shows "Old version" in the list and details. The detail heading shows the actual version that was compared.
- Previously, comparisons with deleted SOPs or files would vanish from the list with no explanation. Now we mark them "Deleted" so you can still view the results, but new comparisons and re-analysis are blocked.
●Start comparisons right from an SOP card
From the [...] menu on an SOP card, you can now go straight to "Compare" without opening the editor. Note: Draft SOPs cannot be used as a comparison reference (only published versions count as the standard).
④ Time Analysis — Improved accuracy and stable reference data
In repeat work, we saw "element counts don't match cycle to cycle" and "edits don't show up in results." We've fixed these root causes.
●We switched to motion extraction built for Time Analysis
Until now, Time Analysis reused the video AI results created for SOP authoring. SOPs correctly combine cycles from the second onward, but Time Analysis needs each cycle to stay separate so you can compare them. We've now built motion extraction that never combines cycles, writing out all cycles at the same level of detail. The extracted result is saved to the media, so if you use the same video in another project, the second time and beyond reuse the same data.
We also now feed any timecode burned into the video to the AI, improving the precision of time readings. Previously times would round to whole seconds, but now they align with actual motion boundaries, letting us capture the correct number of cycles more often.
●You can now specify the range to analyze
If the video starts or ends mid-cycle, element counts break and reference alignment fails. You can now specify the range to analyze before processing. Drag the handles at both ends to set the range. The video itself is not cut.
●We fixed the bug where element edits weren't reflected in results
Situations arose where renaming one element dropped a comparison, manually splitting an element once didn't stick, or table rows changed on their own. The root cause was that we recalculated the reference pattern from all cycles every time, so editing even one element moved the reference itself.
We now save the reference elements to the project. It's built once from the AI result and doesn't move no matter how much you edit it afterward. Re-analysis rebuilds it, and [Reset] returns it to default.
The cycle-adjustment screen now also lets you edit the reference itself (add, delete, reorder, rename). You can split, merge, add, or delete elements on the worker's side, set their assignment to the reference, and undo/redo. The "Correspondence with reference" bar shows you at a glance what exists and what's missing in each cycle.
●We revised how reference cycles are chosen
- We now select only cycles where all elements are present. Cycles missing elements end up with a lower sum, and if chosen as the reference, you'd get a reference with missing steps.
- We used to narrow candidates by the median ± a range, but on videos with delays, this would exclude legitimately fast cycles. Now we simply take the fastest cycle.
●You can now manually edit worker measurements too
When comparing with a worker, we couldn't fix elements the AI missed. Now the worker's side also has split, merge with next, return to not detected, and undo/redo, so you can add measurements to elements the AI didn't catch.
Comparison results now show the reference that AI used for alignment. You can add, remove, or reorder reference elements later without silently changing the meaning of the results. If the current reference differs from what the comparison used, the screen will flag this and offer re-analysis.
Impact on existing customers
All your Work Analysis projects and results remain. They now open from the sidebar's "Time Analysis" section. The "AI Improvement Suggestion" that was in Time Analysis STEP1 has moved to "Quick Analysis." No changes to your settings are needed.
