In this release, we've added features to connect your existing files with Dive. Files in Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive can be imported as materials without downloading them separately. We've also added the ability to specify the language when opening shared URLs and to choose how AI-generated questions are created.
You can now connect with files in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
Previously, to use videos or documents from SharePoint or Teams in Dive, you had to download them to your computer first, then upload them to Dive. For a 5GB video, this meant 5GB of downloading and 5GB of uploading, totaling 10GB over your local network—a significant burden, especially for large files.
In this release, the material addition screen now has a [Teams / SharePoint] button. Click it to open Microsoft's file selection dialog, where you can select files from Teams, SharePoint, or OneDrive and import them right away.
●No need to re-download and re-upload
Dive's servers receive videos directly from Microsoft 365. Since file content doesn't pass through your browser, large videos won't consume your local bandwidth.
●Files you can import
- Videos, images, PDFs, and other files can be imported if they're in a format Dive accepts for uploading (file format, size, and length restrictions are the same as when uploading from your computer)
- After importing, you can handle materials exactly the same way as files uploaded from your computer—including AI analysis, SOP creation, and linking to related files
- You can select and import multiple files at once
●What you import is a snapshot at that moment
Dive receives the content as it exists at import time, while the original remains in Microsoft 365. Imported materials are marked to show which file they came from. If the original is updated after import, the marker changes, and you can import the latest version as a new item. This prevents accidentally creating SOPs from outdated versions.
●You can add SOP links directly to the original file location
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF files imported from Microsoft 365 can now be selected as the export destination for automatic SOP link insertion into existing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF files. In other words, you can write links back to the original file in its original location. There's no need to download and redistribute files—users who open a SharePoint checklist can go straight to the SOP.
●How to connect
- Each user connects once per device they use. Go to the user menu in the top right → "External service integration" and connect from there
- You need at least "Created user" permissions to connect
- This is for work or school Microsoft accounts (personal Microsoft accounts are not supported)
- Your Microsoft account doesn't need to be the same as your Dive login account
- We only ask for read permission during connection. Write permission for the original file is requested only when you add SOP links to it
●Usage conditions
- Import and connection: Available with Lite, Core, Pro, and Enterprise plans
- Adding SOP links to the original file location: Available with Pro and Enterprise plans
- Disabling this integration for your entire team: Enterprise plan only (default is "Use")
For operating instructions, see Import files from Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
You can now specify the language when opening shared URLs
Previously, when opening shared URLs or QR codes for SOPs, the screen language followed the viewer's device settings. When shared with overseas locations or international staff, the screen would first open in Japanese, requiring them to manually switch languages.
In this release, the sharing screen now has a [Open with a specified language] checkbox. When enabled, you can specify two things:
●What you can specify
- Display language (the language for buttons and menus; 29 languages available)
- SOP translation (which language to display for the text and subtitles; you can also choose "No translation" to show the original)
Your specified settings apply to all copied URLs, QR codes, print-friendly screens, and copies from the list of published URLs. You can distribute Vietnamese QR codes for Vietnamese staff, English URLs for English-speaking partners, and so on.
●The viewer's settings are not overwritten
Language specification only applies when opening that specific URL. Viewers can switch languages after opening and their normal language settings won't be changed.
You can now choose question types from "On-site check" or "Comprehension test"
Dive's SOP player doesn't assign scores or pass/fail marks—it simply requires an answer before moving forward. Yet until now, AI-generated questions were created as memory-based tests. This meant workers could get stuck mid-procedure if they couldn't remember an answer, leaving only the burden of the test.
In this release, we've added [Question type] to AI processing options and changed the default to "On-site check".
●On-site check (default)
Creates questions for workers to verify their own work on the spot. Answer choices include only realistic outcomes that could actually occur at that step. We don't create incorrect answer options that wouldn't actually happen. Use it as a digital version of pointing-and-calling.
●Comprehension test
Same approach as before. We mix in incorrect answer options that wouldn't actually happen, to test memory. Use this if you want it for training or skill verification.
●We've aligned the default when creating SOPs
When creating an SOP from a video, question settings use defaults matched to the analyzed question type. Materials analyzed as "On-site check" start with the setting "Allow continuing even when the answer is unexpected" already enabled.
●We renamed "Use for pass/fail judgment"
The checkbox that was labeled [Use for pass/fail judgment] in question settings is now called [Allow continuing even when the answer is unexpected]. The behavior is the same. The original phrasing was confusing for first-time users, causing many inquiries. In bulk edit, [Make pass/fail judgment] is similarly now [Allow continuing even when the answer is unexpected]. The "Normal" and "Abnormal" labels in records remain unchanged.
Administrators can now configure how login sessions are handled
Previously, whether to stay logged in was decided by individual users at the login screen. In this release, team administrators can now set this for everyone.
We've added [Session] to [Owner Functions] under [Security].
●Time until logout with no activity
Choose from 30 minutes to 24 hours, or set it to never expire. Auto-logout doesn't occur while an SOP player is open, during a remote support call, or while materials are uploading.
●Maximum time from login to logout
Choose from 24 hours to 90 days, or set it to never expire. After this time passes, users must log in again—regardless of activity.
●Exclude from auto-logout
For display-only devices or shared tablets in the field where auto-logout would stop operations, you can set exceptions at the group or individual level.
We've also added [Logged-in devices]. You can see which devices members are logged in from and force logout during device loss or staff departure.
Impact on existing customers
The default question type changes to "On-site check" only for newly analyzed videos going forward. Questions in already-created SOPs don't change. If you prefer the previous question style, select [Comprehension test] in AI processing options.
Microsoft 365 integration and shared URL language specification don't change existing behavior if unused. Except for the rename of "Use for pass/fail judgment," existing settings and SOPs remain unchanged.
For sessions, the default maximum time from login to logout is 30 days. Administrators can change this setting anytime. The "Auto-login next time" checkbox at the login screen has been removed since the setting replaces it.
