We've added many new features. This article introduces the new functionality we've released. Please also check out the "Improvement Release" we're publishing at the same time.
① Auto-Create SOP from PDF
Until now, SOPs were created primarily from video and text, but now you can import a PDF and automatically generate an SOP from it. You can reuse existing manuals and work standards as Dive SOPs simply by converting them to PDF and importing them.
● Key Features
- One page = one step — automatically divided
- AI extracts the step title, details, tips, warnings, and safety information from each page's content
- The title and overview for the entire PDF are created automatically
- Each step displays the corresponding page from the original PDF as-is
- Telling AI a brief note about the PDF content during import improves accuracy for technical terms and title formatting
● How to Create
- When creating a new SOP, select "Create from PDF"
- Upload a PDF file or select one from the materials library
- AI processes it and generates steps for each page
- Review, edit, and publish the content
※ For Word, Excel, or PowerPoint documents, please export them as PDF first before uploading.
② Search Within SOP and Jump to Matching Step
SOP search has been enhanced to get you to your target faster.
● Search within an open SOP
- Previously: When you opened an SOP, you had to scroll or page through to find the step you needed.
- Now: Enter a keyword in the search box while the SOP is open, and it searches across the entire SOP.
Search targets include step title, details, tips, warnings, safety, step-level questions, captions, text in video, text in image, and the entire procedure (title and overview). Tapping a search result takes you directly to that step. If it's caption text, it will also seek to that point in the video!
● Open SOPs from search results
In SOP list search, you can now open an SOP directly to the matching step when a keyword hits. You can instantly recall "which SOP had that task and where".
③ Add "Stumble" to Usage Report
We've added a new "Stumble" tab to the Usage Report. Based on responses to step-level questions (Checkpoints) placed within steps, you can visualize "who completed which SOP solo". You can check not just the "quantity" of views, but the "quality" of understanding.
● What You Can See
- Completion rate: The percentage of people who reached a Checkpoint and made it all the way through
- Self-completion rate: Among those who completed it, the percentage who passed on the first try without anyone's help
- Status per user × SOP (solo completion, completed with stumbles, dropped midway, etc.)
● Stumble Map
Click an SOP's status and a "Stumble Map" opens. You can see at a glance which Checkpoint, how many people, and which choices caused issues — helping you improve high-stumble steps and identify people who need individual support.
※ This check applies to SOPs that have step-level questions set up. For instructions on setting up step-level questions, see Step-level questions settings.
④ Granular Folder Edit Permissions
We've added a setting to Folder "Access restriction" to specify "Groups that can also edit". You can now manage viewing and editing ranges separately.
- Previously: Any user with edit permissions within a group that could access the folder could edit it.
Now: You can limit which groups can edit — only Group Administrators and Creators in the designated group can edit.
● Key Points
- Specify "Groups that can also edit" separately from "Groups that can access this folder"
- When not specified, all users with edit permissions in accessible groups can edit, as before
- Owner and Team Administrator can always edit regardless of settings
This is convenient for operations like "let many branches view it, but restrict editing to headquarters only".
⑤ Control Thumbnail and Audio per Video Step
You can now individually adjust thumbnail and audio for each video step.
● Set and Edit Thumbnail Manually
- Previously: Thumbnails were only auto-generated from the video.
-
Now: Turn on "Set thumbnail manually" for each step, and you can choose any image from the materials library as the thumbnail. From the video editor, you can also select any timing from the timeline within the video.
You can edit the specified Thumbnail Image by adding shapes or mosaic
● Mute Video Audio
- Turn on "Mute Video Audio" for each step to mute the original audio of that video step. Videos with background music or ambient noise can still be used — just with the audio removed.
The new features introduced here work with your existing SOPs and data without any impact. Try them out starting with the SOPs you need. Also check the "Improvement Release".
