There are two ways to change account information: users can change their own information, and Owners / Team Admins can change other users' information. Since the items you can change differ, we'll explain each method.
Regardless of which change you make, the user's usage history, group affiliation, and permissions remain unchanged.
Changing your own account information
You can change your information by clicking the user icon (user menu) in the top right corner of the screen.
Display name
You can change your display name for this team (it does not affect other teams).
Profile photo
You can set and change your profile photo (avatar).
Password
You can change your password from Change password. Users with email-free accounts can also change their own password.
Note: Users logging in via SSO (single sign-on) cannot change their password on Dive (it is managed on the ID platform side).
Two-factor authentication
You can configure two-factor authentication from Two-factor authentication settings. Note that email-free accounts cannot be set up for two-factor authentication (because there is no recovery method if lost).
Admins changing other users' account information
Changes such as email address and account type switching are made by Owners / Team Admins / Group Admins from User details in User management.
Open user details
- Open User management in the sidebar
- Click the target user and open User details
Changes related to ID and password can be made from the [...] menu in the top right corner of User details.
Change email address
You can change the email address (Login ID) for users who log in with their email address.
- Select Change email address from the [...] menu
- Enter the new email address and click Send confirmation email
- A confirmation link is sent to the new address. The change is confirmed when the user opens the link (the link is valid for 24 hours)
If you do not receive the confirmation email, you can resend it from Resend confirmation email.
Switch account type
"Log in with email" and "Email-free account" can be switched back and forth.
●Log in with email → Email-free account
- Select Switch to email-free account from the [...] menu
- Enter a Login ID (employee number, etc.; optional—auto-generated if left blank)
- Click Switch to ID
- A new Login ID and Initial password are generated. Distribute these to the user
After switching, logging in with the previous email address will no longer work.
●Email-free account → Log in with email
- Select Change to a real email address from the [...] menu
- Enter the email address to use and click Send confirmation email
- A confirmation link is sent to that address. It is confirmed when the user opens the link
Password and invitation operations
- Password reset (email address accounts): From Send password reset email, you can send a password reset link to the user's registered email
- Password reissuance (email-free accounts): Since email-free accounts cannot be reset via email, admins reissue the password from the user details
- Resend invitation email: For users who have not yet completed registration, you can resend from Resend invitation email
Other changes you can make in user details
- Change display name: For details, see Changing a user's name
- Change permissions: Change from Type. You can only assign permissions at or below your own level, and you cannot assign owner permissions to email-free accounts (see User permissions and account limit)
- Change group affiliation: For details, see Editing a user's group affiliation
- Disable and restore users: Disable using Disable user (logical delete). You can restore anytime from "Disabled users" (see Account limit and how to count)
Regardless of which change or switch you make, the user's usage history, group affiliation, and permissions are maintained. Use it according to your operational needs.
