This is the first step in the Work Analysis editor. Select the source video to analyze and review the improvement suggestions found by AI. Here you decide whether to re-shoot the video or proceed with the current analysis.
This article is STEP1 of the Work Analysis series. For the overall picture, see Work Analysis overview and getting started.
Preparation: Prepare a video that has been AI analyzed
In STEP1, you can only select videos where AI analysis is complete. Run AI analysis in the Materials library and wait for analysis to finish.
● Tips for better quality
- Turn on the "Generate improvement suggestions" option during video AI analysis, and improvement suggestions will appear immediately in STEP1
- Setting the correct phrasing (language) will improve the accuracy of extraction results
Choose video
- On the editor home screen, click "Select a video"
- Select an AI-analyzed video from the Materials library
- The video displays in the center, and a list of improvement suggestions appears on the right
If you launch from "Work Analysis" on the video card in the Materials library, that video opens pre-selected.
If you want to change the video
Use "Change video" at the bottom of the screen to select a different video. If you change the video after moving to STEP2 or later, all extraction, classification, and improvement edits made up to that point will be discarded (a confirmation dialog will appear).
Video rotation (90°)
If the video's top is oriented horizontally, use the "Rotate 90°" button at the top right of the video to rotate the display. The rotation setting is shared and persisted across the entire project (all steps and compare), so once you set it in STEP1, subsequent steps will play in the same orientation. The output video is not affected.
Review AI improvement suggestions
The right panel displays improvement suggestions that AI extracted from the video. This visualizes "where there is room for improvement" while watching the video.
- Each suggestion includes importance (High / Medium / Low) and classification tags
- Waste / Redundant waste / Walking distance waste / Labor waste / Safety risk / Quality risk
- Each suggestion shows related steps as tags. Click a tag to seek to the beginning of that step
- Click the suggestion card itself to cycle through related steps with the playback position jumping between them
Callout display on video
When you play the video, improvement suggestions related to that time appear in the bottom left of the video as a callout. Steps with improvement suggestions are also color-coded on the timeline at the bottom.
If improvement suggestions are not appearing or you want to regenerate them
Use the "Generate improvement suggestions" or "Re-analyze" button at the top right to generate or regenerate improvement suggestions.
Decision: Proceed as-is or re-shoot
After reviewing the improvement suggestions, make the following decision.
- Proceed as-is: Click "Proceed with this video" at the bottom of the screen to move to STEP2 (Extract)
- Re-shoot or choose a different video: Review and re-shoot the task, or select a different video with "Change video"
※ AI analysis of element work runs in STEP2 (Extract). Since you select "whether the same task is being repeated" before analysis there, analysis does not run here.
Tips for success
- Turn on "Generate improvement suggestions" during video AI analysis to make it easier to review in STEP1
- If it's clear the task steps should be changed (revising walking paths, reorganizing setup, etc.), re-shooting here is often the faster path to results
- Preparing a video with the same task repeated 3 to 5 or more times makes it easier to form a model cycle in STEP2 and variation easier to see in STEP6 (Compare)
