Take the elements organized in STEP3 and assemble them using Cut, Sort, and Speed Adjustment to create a work video free of waste. You can always check the comparison before and after improvement in the graph at the bottom right.

Three Types of Edits in STEP4
- Cut: Exclude the element from the output video (remove waste elements)
- Sort: Change the order of elements (optimize workflow and preparation)
- Speed Adjustment (Correction speed): Set playback speed for each element, such as 0.5× to 2.0× (compress standard time)
In STEP4, the display switches to "After Assembly" mode. The Gantt chart becomes the improved timeline after cuts are excluded and speed adjustments are applied, and the element list also displays in sorted order.
Cutting Elements
- In the element list at the top right, click the Cut toggle (scissors icon) for the element you want to cut
- The cut element will be grayed out and excluded from the Gantt chart and export
- Click again to undo
Sorting Elements
- In the element list, drag and drop to change the order
- In the Gantt chart (After Assembly), you can also drag to rearrange. Cut elements retain their array position, and only the showing elements move
Adjusting Speed
Use the speed control in the element list to set the Correction speed for each element (example: 1.5× to shorten, 0.75× to emphasize). Standard time is calculated as measured time ÷ Correction speed and immediately reflected in the graph.
Confirm Results in the Before → After Improvement Graph
The Work structure graph (Before → After) is displayed in the bottom right of the screen.
- Left bar = Before (baseline confirmed in STEP3)
- Right bar = After (current edits)
- The boundary lines of both bars are connected, and you can see at a glance the increase or decrease (slope) of each of the three categories
The results card on the right shows the shortened time.
- Green = Improvement (shortened)
- Gray = No change
- Red = Worse (time increased)
The card also shows "Measured → Standard time," "Change in waste time," and "Change in waste rate."
Reset Edits
You can perform the following operations from the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
- [Revert to baseline]: Cancel all improvements in STEP4 (Cut, Sort, Speed Adjustment) and return to the baseline state (Before)
- Undo / Try again (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z): Undo/Redo edits within this step
Move to STEP5
Click [Next] at the bottom center of the screen to move to STEP5 (Confirm).
Tips for Effective Use
- It is efficient to first Cut all red (waste) elements, then move on to speed adjustment and sorting of Incidental work
- If you increase the speed too much, workers on the floor may not be able to follow the motion. For Training and Standard work purposes, a guideline is around 1.0× to 1.5×
- For fine movements (such as safety points), emphasizing with 0.75× is also effective
- Optimizing the workflow with sorting increases the perceived efficiency beyond just the waste rate
