We are excited to announce two new features: the ability to export SOPs in PowerPoint (.pptx) format, and the ability to create direct links to open specified steps from shared URLs and exported files. Read on to learn about this update.
① PowerPoint Export for SOPs (.pptx)
You can now export SOPs as PowerPoint (.pptx) files with a layout of 1 slide = 1 step. This is useful when you want to "distribute Dive content as internal materials" or "incorporate presentations into PowerPoint for training purposes."
- Previously: We exported in PDF, Excel, and MP4 formats. Copying and pasting into PowerPoint was cumbersome.
- Now: Export .pptx files directly with a structure of cover slide + revision history + step slides (duplicated for each step count).
●Key features
- 1 step = 1 slide: Each slide contains the step number, title, work content, work tips, quality warning, important safety information, questions, and thumbnail image
- Cover slide: SOP name, overview, and Rev number
- Revision history slide: Rev, revision details, initiator, draft date, approval date, and approver in a single-page table
- Add a jump URL to each step optionally (see below)
●Available plans
PowerPoint export is available on Pro and higher plans.
② Jump URLs to Open Specified Steps
You can now create URLs and exported files that open to a specified step directly instead of from the start of the SOP. This is useful for scenarios like "I only want to confirm this one step" or "I want to play from a specific step during training."
●Issue a specified step URL from SOP "Share"
- An "Open from the specified step" checkbox has been added to the "Share" modal for SOPs
- When enabled, a step selector (with step number, thumbnail, and title) appears, allowing you to select the target step
- The displayed URL, QR Code, and print view will all open from the selected step
- Time-limited (external sharing) URLs also support opening from the specified step
●Embed jump URLs for each step in PowerPoint, PDF, and Excel exports
An "Add a jump URL to each step" checkbox has been added to the export settings modal (enabled by default).
- When enabled, each step slide, page, or row in PowerPoint, PDF, and Excel files will include a link that opens that specific step
- When the recipient clicks on a step they are interested in, the Dive playback screen will play from that step (if they are logged into Dive and have viewing permissions)
- When disabled, the document exports as plain content without links
Example use cases
- Proposal and internal presentation materials: Export SOPs to PowerPoint, and jump to Dive to show live video and AR for relevant sections
- Training materials: Distribute PDFs, and have participants play only the steps they are interested in directly in Dive to review
- Share specific steps with external partners: Use time-limited external sharing URLs with specified steps to limit viewing to what is necessary
