We've reviewed the Folder access design for Guests and made it more flexible and easier to operate. This article introduces the latest updates.
① Added "Allow Guest User Access" setting to Folder Access Restriction
We've added an "Allow Guest User Access" switch to Folder Access Restriction. You can now choose whether to expose each Folder to Users with Guest Permission.
- Previous: Guests generally couldn't access Folders, and operations were sometimes unclear
Current: Turn on [Allow Guest User Access] for each Folder to expose that Folder to Guests
● Behavior
- Filter OFF on a Folder with this switch ON: Everyone in the Team, including Guests, can access it
- Filter ON on a Folder with this switch ON: Guests must also belong to an "accessible Group" (Guests not in that Group cannot access it)
For details, see Access Restriction Settings.
② Guests now use Flat View
We've changed the Folder display for Guest Users to Flat View.
- Previous: Guests had to navigate through the Folder hierarchy, making operations complex—for example, they couldn't reach Folders if they lacked access Permission to parent Folders
- Current: Guests do not see the Folder hierarchy and can access Folders and SOPs displayed in a List (Flat) view
This makes it easier to operate when you want to show Guests only filtered SOPs from many Folders.
③ Improved scroll UX in the Video Editor
We've improved scroll operations (including dragging) in the timeline area when zoomed, making it smoother to use.
Other improvements and bug fixes
- Fixed a bug related to Registration Application Notifications
- Improved stability around the search index
- Made other internal processing improvements and fine adjustments
This update can be used without affecting existing SOPs or data. For Teams with Users who have Guest Permission, please check and adjust the [Allow Guest User Access] setting for Folders as needed.
