This is the first step in the Time Analysis editor. You will choose the source video to analyze.

The Role of This Step Has Changed
To match the division of Work Analysis into three types—Quick Analysis, Compare with SOP, and Time Analysis—STEP1 is now a step dedicated to choosing a video only.
The "Improvement suggestion" that previously appeared in this step has been moved to Quick Analysis. If you want to see areas for improvement, analyze the same video with Quick Analysis before starting Time Analysis. You need only the video—no SOP or standard time—to get Improvement hints and Risky moments.
Improvement suggestions you have generated previously will remain in the "Improvement suggestion" sheet when you export Work Analysis results to Excel.
Preparation: Have an AI-Analyzed Video Ready
In STEP1, you can choose only videos that have completed AI analysis. Run AI analysis in the media library and wait for it to complete.
Setting the phrasing (language) correctly during video AI analysis will improve the accuracy of extraction results in STEP2 and beyond.
Choose a Video
From the side menu
- Open Work Analysis > Time Analysis from the side menu
- Create new project with Create new in the upper right
- When the editor opens, click Select a video and choose an AI-analyzed video
From media
You can start from the video card in the media library or from Run work analysis with this media in the media list. A screen will appear asking whether to start with Quick Analysis or Time Analysis. Select Time Analysis. A project will be created with that video pre-selected, and the editor will open.

To change the video
From Change video at the bottom of the screen, you can reselect a different video. If you change the video after proceeding beyond STEP2, any previous extraction, classification, and improvement editing data will be discarded (a confirmation dialog will appear).
Rotating the Video (90°)
If the video is oriented sideways instead of upright, you can use the Rotate 90° button in the upper right of the video to change the display. The rotation setting is shared and persisted across the entire project (all steps and comparisons), so once you adjust it in STEP1, the same orientation will be maintained in subsequent steps. This does not affect the output video.
Proceed as-is or Reshoot
Click Proceed with this video at the bottom of the screen to proceed to STEP2 (extraction). To use a different video, use Change video.
If you should reconsider the work procedure itself (changing workflow, rearranging steps, etc.), reshoot here for a faster result in the end. When in doubt, first analyze the same video with Quick Analysis and review the Risky moments and Improvement hints before deciding.
AI analysis of element work runs in STEP2. Because analysis begins only after you specify in STEP2's settings whether the same work is repeating and the Range to analyze, analysis does not run at the STEP1 stage. AI credits are not consumed.
Tips for Effective Use
- Preparing a video showing the same work repeated 3 to 5 times or more makes it easier to build the model cycle in STEP2 and easier to see variation in STEP6 (Comparison)
- Even if a video has incomplete cycles at the start or end, you can specify the Range to analyze in STEP2 to exclude the missing parts. Try this before reshoot
- If one video shows multiple work tasks, creating separate projects with divided ranges for each task makes element matching easier
