We released 6 improvements centered on reducing wait times from opening a SOP to being able to play it. Audio narration and translations are now available for use as each step is prepared. Element work separated through work analysis can now be used as steps in the SOP directly.
1. Audio and translations can now be played in the order they are prepared for each step
Previously, when opening a SOP, audio narration and translations would wait until all steps in the entire SOP were ready. The more steps in a SOP, the longer the wait time to see the first step.
With this release, steps are now playable as soon as they are prepared. The current step being viewed is prioritized, followed by steps you will see next in order of proximity.
- Steps being prepared display "Preparing the audio for this step..." and "Preparing the translation for this step..."
- You can move forward without waiting using "Play without waiting for the audio"
- In the step list (table of contents), steps still waiting for translation display "Translating". The original text appears first and is replaced with the translation later
- Opening the step list scrolls to the position of the step you are currently viewing
- When audio generation or translation fails during busy times, it could go unnoticed, leaving audio ungenerated or the original text in place. We now retry multiple times
- We reduced the maximum wait time after updating the Pronunciation Dictionary from 5 minutes to 90 seconds
2. You can now create SOPs following the split points determined in work analysis
Previously, even if you separated element work and output an improved video through work analysis, the step division method at the SOP creation stage was left to AI. The split points and work names decided by humans over time were lost, and you had to manually fix the AI-divided results.
With this release, element work finalized in work analysis can now be used directly as steps in the SOP. One piece of element work becomes one step, and the work name becomes the step title as-is. The body, work tips, cautions, and questions are written by AI.
● Split steps to match the element work
It appears in the AI analysis settings displayed when outputting video from work analysis (STEP5 Confirmation). It displays only when outputting video from work analysis, and is enabled by default.
- Step split points are determined by element work, so specifying granularity and target step numbers becomes invalid
- When turned off, step division is handled by AI as before. Element work is used only in action captions
- When reanalyzing later from the materials list, the same options are displayed
● Action captions can also use work names as-is
If you select "As-is" in the action caption style, the work name assigned to element work is used as-is in captions. If you want to use AI-transcribed action captions, you can select ending style and expression style as before. This setting is independent of step split points.
● You can also choose to output video only
After entering the name when outputting, the same "AI analysis settings" as regular video uploads is displayed. Here you can choose to "Run AI analysis too" or "Export only". When exporting only, no completion notification email is sent, and the created video is displayed in the materials list.
Work analysis is available with Pro and Enterprise plans.
3. Added "Member order and visibility" to Skill Map
The member column in the Skill Map displayed members only in name order, and both the order and who is displayed could not be changed. If a group included members from other departments due to approval workflow requirements, those members would appear in the Skill Map.
With this release, you can now configure settings by group from "Member display" in the Skill Map screen.
- You can set the order by dragging. "Skill map setting order" is added to the sort options
- You can hide members using a switch
- Hidden members not only disappear from the column but are also excluded from totals for number achieved, total count, gap, and achievement rate
- The Skill Map for that group will also no longer be displayed in that person's personal page (Training)
- The same reflects in Excel export and stored Skill Maps
- When displaying multiple groups simultaneously, the member will appear if they are displayed in any one group
- The evaluation data itself does not disappear. It only stops being displayed, so you can revert it later
Settings can be configured by owner, team administrator, or group administrator (group administrator for their own group only). Please open it with only one group selected.
4. Member skill levels can now be imported from Excel
Previously, skill levels were set one person at a time on screen. With this release, we added "Level import" so you can write back the member column (level) from an exported Excel file as-is. You can now apply evaluations already managed in Excel in bulk.
● Files that can be imported
- Only supports round-trip with files output from Dive's "Export to Excel" (.xlsx / .xlsm)
- Does not support symbol conversion from other company formats (◯△×, S・A・B・C, etc.)
- Members are matched by email address first, then display name. Skills are matched by category, subcategory, and skill name
● Value handling
- Only numeric levels 1-4 are imported
- Blank cells are treated as "do not change". This is not a reset to not-evaluated operation
- By default, cells that already have level values are not imported. Switching to "Overwrite existing too" makes them targets
- Before importing, you can review a list of content to be written, skipped rows, and values that could not be read
- Imported levels remain in the evaluation history as official levels (with an indicator showing it was imported). No level change notification email is sent
- Guests are not eligible. You cannot import while viewing a stored Skill Map
Skill Map is available with Core and above plans, and Excel export is available with Pro and Enterprise plans.
5. Reviewed the default value for "Distribute" when publishing a SOP
"Distribute" (send notification email to those who can view) shown during approval requests and publication was previously always displayed as enabled. Since unintended notifications could be sent, we changed the default to off.
- The browser remembers your previous selection and uses it as the default next time. If you usually turn it on, it will be displayed as on next time
- If a setting is saved in the SOP, that content takes priority as before
- On shared computers, the memory is separate for each logged-in user
6. Other refinements
- Fixed an issue where reprocessing a video that failed with "Processing failed" would remain "Processing" and the reprocessing button would disappear even when the button was pressed. We now change the display after confirming the processing is received and prevent continuous pressing
- When reprocessing, sharing settings and comments for that material are now carried over
- Fixed an issue where video conversion completion notifications were occasionally missed and conversion would remain "Processing" even though it was complete
- Fixed an issue where old audio using old readings would be restored later after correcting kanji or unit readings
- Fixed an issue where no audio was generated for SOPs where step order information was saved in the old format
- Changed the default value for narration target to "Subtitles" when creating a SOP from video materials (to align with operation that reads subtitles and mutes video audio)
- The notification during MP4 download now remains displayed until the download is complete. Previously it would disappear in seconds, making it unclear whether the download was in progress
- In the screen to confirm AI processing content, line breaks in entered instructions are now displayed as-is. We also eliminated the issue where empty lines could appear in the content
- For AI analysis of long videos, we reviewed the conditions for splitting processing and retrying when failures occur
Impact on existing use
We have not changed existing SOPs and Skill Map evaluation data. The "Member order and visibility" in Skill Map is not configured by default and is displayed in the previous order.
"Distribute" when publishing a SOP now defaults to off as of this release. If you operate by sending notification emails, check the box at the time of publication (starting next time, your previous selection will be the default).
Video output from work analysis previously proceeded automatically to AI analysis, but now you choose "Run AI analysis too" or "Export only" at the time of output. Also, "Split steps to match the element work" is enabled by default, so if you want AI to split as before, turn it off.
